Since May is Mental Health Awareness month I wanted to take a moment to talk about feeling behind in life.

I, like most people, feel so behind in life. Everyone I know has their life figured out and I'm still sorting through the mess my life has become.

People I grew up with, people I went to school with have everything they said they wanted at this age and I'm not even halfway there. Most of them have amazing careers and are married and living a life that looks so perfect and I'm still figuring what I want out of this life.

Somedays it gets so hard to ignore the voices in my head. It keeps screaming you're behind, you're not doing enough, everyone else has their shit together and you're wasting your life. And I often let these voices run my life. I over compensate, I overdo, I work myself to the point where I physically can't handle more and it still doesn't feel enough.

But I forget that I'm comparing my first draft with others' published book. No one has gone through the things I have and I'm doing myself a huge disservice by punishing myself for surviving and doing things with the knowledge I had at that time. And I'm grateful for my friends who reminds me of this whenever I spiral.

So, please do not let these voices in your head win. You're doing the best you can and YOU'RE EXACTLY WHERE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE.

Treat yourself with kindness and compassion and show yourself the same grace you bestow upon others.

Take care of yourself guys and DON'T LET THE HARD DAYS WIN.

I have always wanted to read @tessabaileyisanauthor books! These have been sitting on my shelf for years now and I'm finally gonna read them this week! I really hope I like it.. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 because whenever I pick up popular romcoms, I'm easily disappointed!🤦🏻‍♀️ And that's the main reason I prefer reading indie authors instead.. they hardly ever fail me!💕💕

🥀MY THOUGHTS
For a man of the position he's at, Henry was perfect I believe.. he was there when she most needed him, he always kept coming back for her, he saw her potential and encouraged her to chase things she loved and fully supported her! And he wasn't at all obnoxious and paranoid like Abbi whose behaviour was so irritating and that's the reason I couldn't give this book perfect stars!

Abbi's father and Henry's conversation when they were introduced to each other - the Wolf again won my heart!

And Margo - I actually liked her.. the way she kept addressing Abbi as 'his Abigail' and so genuinely! She had won me over right then!
