This weekend feels like being between bookends - or, perhaps between book covers. As Linda put it “… this chapter closes, and a new one begins.”

On Friday I said farewell to working at @bermanandco after nearly 3 years ⌛️

I was so happy and excited for this adventure when the opportunity presented itself.
Aside from getting to work with an amazing collection and a fantastic team of people, Linda was personally generous in offering the flexibility in schedule and time I needed to get my health and family life together while still working in a field I enjoy, close to home.

I’ve had the great fortune to work with people who’ve taught me by story and example about both the work we do and the difference one can make within it, and Linda as the embodiment of B&Co was an especially rich teacher. She has a lot on her shoulders, especially during a Pandemic, and I’m grateful for the experience and life lessons learned over these past few years. Thank you Linda!

At B&Co I especially enjoyed and truly love the rotating cast of desk associates who provide camaraderie and care to all; the floor team that greases the wheels; and the constant shining light that is Trudie. I will miss working with Oscar most of all. Thanks for the flowers, love, and the most touching card I’ve ever received❤️

There are always pieces of clothing that live rent-free in my 🫀, and now even more of them are physically located at Berman’s. It was a thrill to work with Canadian media history. There’s no place quite like that veritable magician’s cave! There’s so much I miss about it already - I’ll revisit it in my dreams for years to come.

Over the past few years I’ve made great progress toward getting physically strong, more mentally resilient, and gaining clarity on what I want out of life.

A confluence of recent events, and an action plan focussing on my quality of life coincided with an offer I couldn’t resist: Working for Meileen at IMIJ Wardrobe in a carefully-crafted and lovingly-tended boutique environment that’s a phenomenally good fit with daily balance, positive vibes and a shared passion for quality of work, progress, and the great customers we both enjoy. What a way to grow! 💗
