This medal Monday hits so different. Why?

Ya girl has reach marathoner status!!!! (It has finally sunk in I think)

This weekend was absolutely everything.

First and foremost, I had the incredible honor of carrying Sgt. Eriq Aquino with me through all 26.2 miles yesterday. Even more special was having the opportunity to meet his amazing momma. It’s a moment I’ll forever hold close to my heart.

Marathon training is NOT for the weak. You question yourself a million times, wonder if you’re doing enough, and just when the long runs start feeling easier, one comes along and humbles you REAL quick. 😂

Then suddenly, it’s race day and you’re thinking… HOLY SHIT. WE’RE REALLY DOING THIS.

If this journey taught me anything, it’s that your people are EVERYTHING. ❤️

@rhonsaker : I am so glad you caught the running bug too and we get to do this together and you are crazier than me. But in all seriousness. Thank you for supporting me endlessly.

@amanda.sue.88: who pulled off the ultimate surprise and drove EIGHT HOURS ROUND TRIP to surprise me on the course… a moment I’ll never forget.

@traintorun_412, @valruns4margs, @courtonthe_run143 @see_steph_runpgh: They pushed me when I needed it, believed in me when I doubted myself, made the hardest miles feel lighter and checked me when I needed it. I am forever grateful for these girls! We freaking did it!!!!

And lastly, everyone who tracked me, left rallys, texts and motivational calls yesterday- you all are amazing.

I love you all tremendously.

Race day was hard, emotional, and absolutely incredible. I laughed, I cried, and reminded myself… I GET TO DO THIS.

Crossing that finish line was about so much more than 26.2 miles. It was about showing up, believing in myself, and the people who helped me get there.

26.2 miles. A million emotions. A lifetime of memories.

WE DID THE DAMN THING!

My heart has never been so full.

‼️ LONG POST ALERT 🚨‼️

Yesterday was quite the whirlwind in the best possible way. A day full of fun, laughs, core memories, new friends, new tan lines, and so many little moments that reminded me why I love this running community so much. ☀️🤍

This training block taught me a lot about myself, both as a runner and as a person. It challenged me in ways I didn’t necessarily expect, especially mentally. There were moments when the miles felt heavier, when the process felt harder, and when I had to remind myself why I started in the first place. Training has a way of making you face parts of yourself that you might otherwise avoid. It teaches you patience, resilience, discipline, and how to keep showing up even when things aren’t easy or going exactly how you planned.

Running has become a journey that has breathed life back into my soul in ways I can’t fully put into words. It has given me something to work toward, something to believe in, and a version of myself that continues to grow with every mile.

And then there’s this community. The people who make the early mornings, the long runs, the tough training days, and the moments of doubt feel a little less heavy. The people who cheer for you as loudly as they cheer for themselves, who welcome you exactly as you are, and who remind you that you don’t have to be the fastest, the most experienced, or have everything figured out to belong. You just have to show up. There is something so special about finding people who understand the crazy, celebrate the little victories, and believe in you even on the days when believing in yourself feels a little harder.

So here’s to the miles that challenge us, the people who make the journey unforgettable, the memories we never could have planned, and the version of ourselves we discover along the way. Running may bring us together, but it’s the community, the connection, and the reminder that we’re capable of more than we think that make it so special.
Forever grateful for this crazy, beautiful running community and for everything this journey continues to teach me. ❤️💙

We made a spreadsheet. A very serious spreadsheet.

Six cities. A bunch of races. Thousands of miles of travel. We had a plan.

Of course, along the way I managed to show up for a race I never registered for. 🤣

But that’s not what I’ll remember about the 2026 Everyday Athlete Run Club Tour.

I’ll remember @valruns4margs supporting @drlorihauck during her dissertation defense. @joshrosenthal1 helping me get into that race. People showing up with cowbells and walking boots because they couldn’t race but still wanted to support everybody else.

I’ll remember coffee, dinners, conversations and a whole lot of laughing.

We started this tour wanting to meet the people we’d gotten to know through our phones.

We finished with friendships that mean more than any race time.

The latest Fireside Chat is a solo recap of all six cities, what worked, what didn’t, and why we’re already thinking about doing it again.

We’re sharing these memories in collaboration with @join.allmyne , because the best part of travel isn’t always the destination.

Val is a driving force in our local running scene. Founder of @valsaidstation , a non-profit community-driven aid and energy station supporting Pittsburgh runners, co-founder of No Pace Run Club, and a member of the P3R Pace Team, she represents everything we love about the Pittsburgh running community.

She’s tirelessly out there serving enthusiasm, uplifting others on and off the course, all while raising the next generation of runners. 🏃‍♀️✨

She’s currently gearing up to tackle a massive lineup: the Pittsburgh EQT 10-Miler, the Marine Corps Marathon, and Every Woman’s Marathon! We couldn’t be more proud to have her on Team GBM! 🥳

Rocked like a hurricane in an actual hurricane 🌧️.
Braved the elements and after saying quitting was happening 4x, toughed it out for 11 miles! *extra shout out to Ash + Val for pushing forward with me ♥️

My stubborn Irish self was set to hit my 18 yesterday, so I got home and finished the last 7 on the treadmill. Not how I pictured my 18, but adapted and got it done ☑️

Grit + determination. 😎

A much needed de-load this week and then PEAK WEEK!!! 32 days out, let’s gooooo! 🏃🏼‍♀️
