The year is 1987 and Noah Wideman has just discovered what he believes is a sketch from one of Mozart’s long, lost Prussian Quartets. With the gumption of a 21-year-old about to graduate from music school, he decides to finish the quartet and bring one last Mozart premiere to the world.

You can read the whole story about how he finds it and what it takes to pull off such a crazy scheme in the new novel, THE LOST MOZART, on sale everywhere books are sold August 4! Pre-order it now at the links in bio.

Meanwhile, here’s part of the sketch he finds, brought to life by the EXOS Quartet.

Special thanks to Ginny Millhiser for opening up her lovely home to host the recording session.

Thrilled to finally share the release of No Cosmic Dice (link in bio). After the fire destroyed my studio, I truly thought this record would be stranded until spring of 2026—but with generous hands pulling me forward—especially Zibby and Kyle Owens, Ben Wallfisch and Caleb Cuzner—this album found its way back into the light far sooner than I ever expected.

Beyond the extraordinary musicians and engineers (@daveksticknbass @mikeianmusic @thorir_ @gdeleon_music @wijedasadaniel @nachogobbi) who helped shape this record, I’m indebted to a constellation of people who lit the path: The Hedgehog’s Muse, Cow on the Wall Studios, Annie Clark & Joy Elizabeth Williams, Ruth Ch, Roxanne Macherzynska… This album is stitched together from their sparks.

And a special shout-out to my dear friend Ginny Millhiser, who put up with all my stubbornly narrow-minded ideas and somehow painted the most jaw-dropping album cover I could’ve dreamed of. She made magic while I made… suggestions. #einstein #fusionmusic #shimokitazawa #jazz #jazzmusic #standupbass #saxophone #alberteinstein #lenoxmassachusetts #romanorte #hedgehog
