Maybe you came because you heard the coffee was good.

Maybe you stayed because you found out it was never about the coffee..

“THE GRAVEYARD” ART AUCTION
Think of the painting you never finished, the sculpture collecting dust, or the piece that simply never found a home.

On October 11th, 6:30–10:00 PM, we’re bringing these works together at Verci LA for an evening of cocktails, live jazz, and an auction giving unfinished and forgotten pieces a second life. Starting bids will vary, so there will be something for every collector and budget.

Artists: have something sitting in your studio that deserves another chance? We want to see it. Fill out the interest form and tell us about what you might want to bring back from the grave.

Tyler Morgan: “I make it a point to try my hardest to walk what I talk and then paint about the struggle of it— the imperfection of it.”

NEW Interview in today with Tyler Morgan: "The Lord has placed many gifts and wonders inside of you, but you need His Holy Spirit to reveal what has been already given and the purpose of what’s been given. And remember there is room for your gifts. The Lord Himself will make the room."

September! You went by FAST.

But weirdly, for a month that disappeared in approximately 12 minutes, I was pretty intentional about pulling back.

Turns out your bank account can absolutely decide how social you’re going to be 😂 but it also forces you to get creative with what you’ve got. And honestly? I kind of loved it.

I cooked a LOT. Tried new meals. Deep cleaned my apartment within an inch of its life. Walked around my neighborhood. Settled into my little corner of the world. Stayed home more. Spent less. Made things. Noticed things.

September also brought some important family moments. My mom had her third heart procedure, which was a lot to hold, but I’m so grateful for her strength and for the people who helped us through it.

And my nieces kept me very busy in the best way. They started soccer, and one unfortunately experienced a foot injury, because apparently even tiny athletes need a little drama. The other auditioned for a school play, and I could not be prouder. Watching them grow, try new things, get back up, and become more fully themselves is one of my favorite parts of life. Proud auntie status: permanently activated.

But September still had some big main-character moments.

Bleachers at the Troubadour with my buddy Erin! Robyn, the millennial goddess herself, at the Forum. And one ridiculously fun photo shoot with a friend all about being women: strength, endurance, bodies, confidence, taking up space, and fully owning the goddesses we’ve become.

A quieter month, maybe. But definitely not a boring one.

And now it’s October.

The word that keeps popping into my head is gentle. I want a gentle October. Not necessarily quiet. Not necessarily slow. Just gentle. Gentle surprises. Gentle beginnings. Gentle endings where they’re needed. And maybe a few doors swinging wide open because, hi, I am ready.

September, thanks for reminding me that pulling back doesn’t mean disappearing. Sometimes you’re just clearing the runway.

October, show me what you’ve got. ⚡️

And happy spooky season, baby. 🎃👻🖤

And if it doesn’t happen the way you wanted, it will happen in a better way than you imagined. That’s the beauty of God’s plan ☆
