An eighth-place finish for the New Zealand Junior Surfing Team at the 2026 ISA World Junior Surfing Championship completed in El Salvador today.

A big effort from the Kiwi team who represented Aotearoa with pride throughout the event and put in a fantastic group effort.

A big congratulations to everyone involved – participants, management and parents there on the ground and back here in New Zealand securing the best result in 16 years.

Van finding his feet on the new whip!!

A little school holiday project with Van. We stripped the fibreglass off an old snapped board then reshaped it into a 4’8 x 18 3/4” x2 1/4” twin fin fish he aptly named the’penis mobile’! He then painted it up & I glassed & sanded it for him. Then he did the final pen lines & went surfing! He reckons it’s super fast & fun as! Hopefully put some pics up of him riding it one day soon…
