Some highlights from 2026 @ibjjf Master Worlds.
3 matches total, I lost in the quarterfinals, just missing the medal rounds. Went out there and felt great mentally and physically. Just appreciate @ryno00 @amberrhn @kanoahazamalee and everyone who helped me prepare day to day. Thank you 🙏

𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦: 𝗣𝗜𝗧𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗚 & 𝗗𝗘𝗙𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗘

The offense got a lot of attention this season, but these boys were just as dominant on the mound.

As a team, the Dragons led Hawaiʻi DII with a 0.40 ERA and 179 strikeouts while allowing just 36 hits and 6 earned runs all season.

What makes it even more impressive is that these weren’t pitchers only. Four of the five featured here were everyday starters in the field, finding ways to help the team win on both sides of the ball.

➡️ Swipe through to recognize the pitchers who helped lead one of the most dominant staffs in Hawaiʻi this season.

Watching the Worlds go on this past week brought back lots of good and painful memories. Although I’ve never podiumed at the Worlds in the adult division with the gi, I managed to come close a few times and can look back at many hard fought matches I’ve had there along with tough lessons. Regardless, I managed to enjoy every bit of it

If you’re not coming to 9am beginners class on Saturdays, you’re missing out ✨

Things @ed_does_a_jump_kick said to me that didn’t make it into the video:
- “I don’t think it matters because you’re so close to the ground you can get up really fast”
- “sometimes I wish I was shorter”

Congratulations my Son, Hixson Vigil, on your well earned promotion to yellow/white belt - to have Grandmaster Rickson Gracie present and to wrap the belt with me is something I will never forget for as long as I live on this Earth- as well as something I have prayed about many many times in my life - so please continue to pray to the Almighty for the things you desire and intend to do the work for as he is listening and waiting for your devotion - Rickson kept calling him “Champion” during our private sessions and actually commented that his technique was “beautiful” - I am so grateful for your life Grandmaster Rickson - love & light forever✨🙇🏼‍♂️
