A scrumptious bath - adore this bathroom, from sensational patterned tiles with alternating plain border; to the rich oranges and blues, nothing about this room feels sterile or clinical. A room layered with interest and the perfect spot to unwind, especially now the days and nights are starting to get cooler.

All the children wanted a bath rather than a shower last night and I realised what a comfort a bath is, summer was so busy that showers became the norm at the end of long dusty days outside but nothing beats a deep soak and playing with your siblings in the bubbles!

an entry that should feel like it took decades.

one monroe place went up in 1852 and has a checkered history, and we wanted the room to carry some of that. lindsey adelman’s wallpaper for calico on every wall. a karl zahn mobile over the table. two green chairs by the windows, a rust velvet sofa by the door. traditional beside modern, familiar beside surprising.

What a Homecoming! A very full house last night in our Queen’s Park showroom to celebrate and welcome in the new season.

Thank you to everyone who piled in and made it such a brilliant night. You drank us dry and we’re already excited for next year’s.

Thank you @elenabazu for capturing it all so beautifully.

I love Van der Hurd and Virginia White fabrics as they have this graphic contemporary feel to them which has brought this vintage cane chair to life mixing scale , pattern and lush embroidery trimming. All unexpected but harmoniously elegant at the same time. @vanderhurd @virginiawhitecollection

All the love for this rug 🧡🧡🧡

‘Tapa’ from our about-to-launch collab with @julianchichesterltd - I’m thrilled that @homesandgardensofficial picked it as one of their favourite ‘art-inspired’ rugs for the October issue …… and even lovelier that I’m beside rug friends @floor_story @knotsrugs @pelican_house @shamestudios @vanderhurd

In a recent story for @houseandgardenuk, @ginnyemily opened up the little black book of specialist makers that Britain's top designers turn to time and again. Among them are @vanderhurd @coxlondon and @nestdesign.co.uk, whose exquisite rugs, textiles and lighting have long been admired by those in the know. Here are some wonderful examples of their work:

1 & 2. @ritakonig worked with Christine Van Der Hurd to create the stair carpet for her own home in London.
3. An Arts and Crafts project by @nicolahardingandco featuring a bespoke @vanderhurd rug in the hall.
4 & 5. The London home of @coxlondon founders Nicola and Christopher Cox featuring their lighting designs.
6. Lucy Bathurst, founder of @nestdesign.co.uk, in her live-work space in London.

A pair of @robertlangfordlondon stools upholstered in 'Punto': our small-scale rendering of stylised flowers punctuated by little spots of contrasting colour. We love how this print gives an almost solid effect in its five tasteful colourways 🌸
