Expect a wide range of sounds—from laid-back beats and dreamy Balearic grooves to sexy UKG. @haeraparki_ , @vanessa_sat & @freddygardens have the early hours sorted.

very keen to see what they all bring for the night

There’s less than half of the presale tickets left. A no dormir 😴 link in our bio :)

In the studio booth, the hot box… We kicked off the day with an introduction by @netflixxandbills & @maf.zhf from Mähallä, followed by an interview with our friends from @dukkana.hardingst & @tgbrarchive — who you’ll also see featured in our reel (soon soon)

Then came the B2B hotness, @esinismyname & @vanessa_sat into @christian.evripidou into @luqman.music & @ezzmonem (you’ll see more from them in a later feature),

bringing us all the way to the final dance with the one and only Bebsi Babes!

A huge thank you to all our amazing friends who were part of this incredible lineup.

5 HOURS OF MÄHALLÄ

EPISODE 4 ~ 5 YEARS OF MÄHALLÄ ~ EPISODE 4

Last year in November, we celebrated five years of our Mahalla, our community, with our friends at @highnote_____ & @skylab_radio — by taking over the airwaves for a special 5-hour takeover.

We couldn’t have done it without this amazing lot:

Starting things off…

@safaelsamad and @_fuzz_fuzz dropped in for a conversation about all things @dukkana.hardingst followed by @annaemina_ and @celine.com.au from @tgbrarchive,
as we play songs in solidarity with Palestine.

Then came a series of b2b DJ sets from:

@esinismyname & @vanessa_sat
@christian.evripidou & @minimalefatale
@luqman.music & @ezzmonem

Bebsi Babes aka @netflixxandbills & @maf.zhf - were the last duo to close the day/night!

BAR FOR NOW July Programme 🚨

Our Wednesday clubs have quickly become one of our favourite parts of the week, so we’re doubling down this month with a few familiar faces and some new additions. From drawing and chess to deep dives into records and music culture, everything kicks off at 7pm, with more niches, hobbies and interests to come.

Wednesday 01.07 🖼️

@sarahhankinson_artist continues her monthly residency, a drawing club for everyone that’s now consistently sold out and touring some of Melbourne’s finest cultural institutions. We’re blessed to have her as part of the Bar For Now family and are excited to welcome her back tonight from 7pm.

Wednesday 08.07 ♟️

We’ve teamed up with Greville Street legends @brickandmortarsupply to bring their chess club down to Carlisle Street. Want to learn the game? Want a chance to flex your skills and become the ultimate pawn star? From now on, we’ll be hosting a monthly edition and can’t wait to welcome them into our little Wednesday family.

Wednesday 15.07 🎵

A simple concept: a few albums, a genre, an artist, or whatever topic we decide on. It gives us a chance to tap into the minds of friends who are just as geeky about music as we are and curate a string of records for the evening. Back to front, no skips. An evening of listening. The first edition is hosted by our BFN music man, Alex Webster.

Last but not least... DJs for the month ❤️

@finnfred1
@porcelainprincey
@mamacitabonnita
@cruiseycamel
@nugwah_
@vanessa_sat
@stylee_dan
@big_mully_kush

📢 PSA:

This Saturday we’ll be hosting a private event from 6-10pm, but we’ll be open both before and after as usual for all our locals, regulars and friends alike.
