This is just a glimpse at what the student-led protest looked like this afternoon in Colonie. Stick with NEWS10 to hear from the students who were here, and what they would like other community members, as well as the school, to know.

Before Frattolin walked out of the courtroom today, Judge Tatiana Coffinger said, “I hope that at some point in your life you realize what you have done. And what you have done to a family and moreover, how you let down your daughter.”

𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐂 𝐕𝐈𝐃𝐄𝐎 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐋??? I demand an immediate and clarifying statement by @albanypolice officials and/or the @albanycountysheriff.

No fewer than a dozen people have sent me this video since 9am. Composed of footage depicting multiple assaults — as filmed by the assailant and an accomplice — the video documents vicious and unprovoked attacks spread throughout the city of Albany. One such beating occurred at the entrance to the Albany County Department of Probation. 𝗜𝗻𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗹𝘆, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆’𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝘃𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

I don’t know when these videos were recorded.
I don’t know who filmed them.
I don’t know how the name Devin Brewington — a 31-year-old convict with a lengthy criminal history — became associated with the video, or if Mr. Brewington is, in fact, the attacker so depicted.

But I’m publishing this footage NOW due to the substantial public safety imperative. Albanites deserve to know if this video documents real criminal activity and, if so, what law enforcement officials are doing to identity/locate/apprehend this potentially lethal, blatantly racist, and dangerously indiscriminate assailant.

Police say an individual unlawfully entered this shop between 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Sept.10. Right now, there is no evidence that this incident was motivated by bias or that it is a hate crime.

You see school buses nearly every day on the roads, but over the last couple years — there have been less drivers filling these seats. And for school districts like Greenville, that means they're forced to make some changes.
