Happy belated Halloween! Hope you had a fantastic and safe time. If you don’t celebrate, hope you had a fantastic and safe day too 😊

Every Halloween, I reflect on one of my most memorable opening nights.

It was 2012, and I was a part of a delightful group people in #daviscalifornia called Common House productions.

This was the year we put on a production of The Woman in Black.

I was the woman in black.

It’s a phenomenal Victorian ghost story and though the #danielradcliffe film offers a different framework from the play, they’re both wonderfully spooky.

We built a stage in one of our director’s backyards and opened on Halloween.

The most brilliant thing about it?

Just as we were about to start the show, it started to rain.

The ground, having been covered in leaves earlier in the day because ya know...#autumn the leaves were now wet and therefore silent to walk upon.

I can attest, while playing a ghost, nothing quite beats sneaking up on a gaggle of frat boys in the audience, hearing them s*$t themselves as I silently snaked up the aisle to the stage.

Their screams still make me smile.

The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate.
This weekend I was blessed to celebrate with so many friends and family. And together we blessed families at @rileychildrens with donations to the hospital library! Thank you to everyone who wished me well, both in person, online, and through the wonderful photo book Josh made for me! #fortyandfabulous
