I’ve been trying to figure out what I was going to put on this post since August. There are so many things I can say, but I think the most important thing is saying how much I love this sport. Soccer has been the most important influence in my life for as long as I can remember and I couldn’t be happier that I got to play four years more than most get the privilege to.
The thought of moving 1,000 miles away from home to a school I visited once in the middle of nowhere wasn’t something I imagined for myself, but now that I’ve lived that reality I couldn’t imagine college going a different way. I’m so thankful for every single year I got to spend at Tabor playing the sport that I love more than anything. Every person I got to meet during my collegiate soccer career has left such a heavy impact on my heart and my life, and truly I couldn’t be more thankful than I am right now knowing that this was my reality.
I’m going to miss getting to practice and play with this team, for they have truly shaped me to be the person I am now. Thank you to Ian for bringing be here and to Tom for helping me finish my career. I have loved every single moment that consisted of me getting to lace up my cleats and step onto the field, and I truly believe that I will mourn this sport and this team specifically for the rest of my life. I love you all, and thank you for making the last four years the best I could have asked for :,)
