One of the things we value most about SALIS is how close we feel to so many of you.

You share your stories, tell your friends about us, send us photos and messages, and we love it. That trust and closeness is something we never take for granted. We want that care to go both ways.

We were so happy seeing so many of you wearing SALIS on your holidays. Take this post as a small thank you before August comes to an end.

More than your beautiful pictures, our hearts melt when we get messages that share how much a SALIS bikini changed your summer: that you finally wore a bikini after two years, that you took SALIS on your honeymoon, that your mum wants one, that you’re on your third colour and just want the whole collection, that your postpartum body finally felt like yours again and you wore a swimsuit that made you feel pretty on your body.

We don’t take any of that lightly. you’re why we made this collection in the first place.

So, thank you. 🤍

And remember: summer isn’t over. It ends when you say it does, so enjoy September. 🌊

We’ve been talking about this event for weeks. What we didn’t show you was what it actually felt like from the inside.
Two days of setting up, Joana having soup for breakfast, finding café Galão and a man named Rui who looked after us like we’d known him for years.

Then the doors opened, and you came in. @vogueportugal walked through with a magazine in their hands, and a couple at the back started dancing and had no idea we were watching.

We planned every detail for weeks, and the best parts were the ones we couldn’t have planned at all. 🤍

We arrived the day before, with a trolley and a basket and about six weeks of work packed into a van.
The store was still a store, nothing was up yet. And we were standing there with a pile of things we made in a studio, hoping it would all come together the way it looked in our heads.

The stickers went up first. From the same fruit labels idea we made for our first market, but this time we scaled them up.

We spent way longer than we needed to getting them straight on the wall. It’s the kind of thing nobody consciously notices, but you feel it when it’s off.

Vânia and her sister outside, hanging the awning. Everyone helps, and family is always the biggest supporters.
It went up. it wasn’t right. it came down. it went up again. By the fourth time we had it. And we’d have done it four more times if that’s what it took.

And then there’s Joana, from our sales team, who looked at a menu and decided she wanted soup and a pastry for breakfast. And why not?! 😅

We’re still laughing about it. She was somehow the most functional person in the room that morning, so maybe she’s onto something the rest of us aren’t.

The bags, the bottles, the labels. Every small thing got its own sticker eventually.
It’s the kind of work that takes hours and that you only really notice if it’s missing.

We wanted everything you’d pick up that day to feel like it belonged to the same little market world.

And then, slowly, it stopped looking like a store with boxes in it and started looking like a market.
