I look at this often to keep me locked in. If you don’t understand your why, the cost of commitment will always be too high. Ten years ago, when God put Fresh Start on my heart, He gave me a vision and mission that have never changed. Discipleship has been at the center from the beginning. We have a heart for the unchurched, the overchurched, and the dechurched. Different stories and experiences, but each needs an opportunity to know Jesus, grow in His Word, and live as His disciple. As the pastor, sometimes I have to say no to good ideas because they don’t help us fulfill the assignment God gave us. Our vision and mission keep me grounded so I’m not swayed by everything that comes along. They have to guide what we preach, how we serve, and what we plan. When I preach, I encourage people to respond, but I also prepare with intention for how they will live after the message. The same goes for our ministries and events. What are people learning? Are they putting God’s Word into practice? Are they becoming more like Jesus? We have to care about those outcomes. Discipleship takes discipline, patience, and a commitment to the long game. You may not see quick results, but that doesn’t mean the work isn’t taking root. We are not just building a service; we are building people.

TRUTH AND FIRE 👉🏽PART 2 🎤 When Worship Gets Visible Today’s word was a reminder that real worship doesn’t stay hidden, it shows up in how we live, how we move, and how we love God out loud! 🙌🏽🔥 In Psalm 63:1–4, David shows us what it looks like to thirst for God, seek His presence, and praise Him with everything we have. Worship isn’t just a Sunday sound; it’s a daily surrender. It’s lifting our hands when life gets heavy, trusting God when the road gets rough, and letting our lives reflect the One we serve. 💥 When worship gets visible:     ◦    Our hunger for God gets louder than our distractions.     ◦    Our praise becomes bigger than our circumstances.     ◦    Our lifestyle starts reflecting our faith.     ◦    Our devotion moves beyond the building and into everyday life. We’re not just called to talk about His goodness—we’re called to SHOW IT! 🔥 The question is: If someone watched your life, would they see your worship? Let your praise be public, your faith be active, and your heart stay hungry for His presence. This is more than a moment. This is a lifestyle. #FreshStartChurch #TruthAndFire #WhenWorshipGetsVisible #SundayRecap #Psalm63

GOTS CON 26 didn’t just fill our calendars—it reignited our hearts and renewed our calling! 🔥 From the very beginning, my husband and I were refreshed, stretched, and strengthened. God reminded us that what He has joined together, He will continue to use for His glory. We left with fuller hearts, clearer vision, and fresh fire for the assignment ahead. The Master’s in Church Planting added even greater depth to the experience, equipping us with practical insight, biblical wisdom, and a renewed perspective for building healthy, effective churches and advancing the Kingdom. We came together, encountered God, and we’re returning stronger than ever. ❤️‍🔥 #GOTSCON26 #MarriageAndMinistry #FreshFire #KingdomCouple #MastersInChurchPlanting #PastorKAndEricka

🔥 TRUTH & FIRE: WE WERE MADE TO WORSHIP! 🙌🏽 What a powerful Sunday at Fresh Start! From the energy in the room to the Word that challenged our hearts, today was a reminder that worship is bigger than a song, a feeling, or a Sunday morning experience! Pastor Lewis kicked off our new TRUTH & FIRE series with a truth we all needed: God isn’t just looking for worship. He’s looking for WORSHIPERS! 🔥 Worship isn’t about your personality, your preference, or having the perfect atmosphere. It’s about recognizing God’s worth and responding with your LIFE! Because Sunday isn’t where worship begins. Sunday is where worshipers gather! 👏🏽. Fresh Start, let’s carry that same passion, truth, and surrender into every day of the week! Here’s a question worth asking: If the Father is seeking worshipers, what does He find when He finds YOU? 👀 #TruthAndFire #MadeToWorship #FreshStartChurch #SundayRecap #WorshipIsALifestyle

Its been one busy week!! Lord thank you for strength! I also want to take a moment to say THANK YOU! Thank you, Fresh Start Church, to every person who has prayed, given, made a commitment, and sacrificed to help us get this far. I told you I would take you on this journey with us! 🙌🏾🏠. Today, Fresh Start officially went UNDER CONTRACT! After 10 years of being a portable church, this is a milestone worth celebrating, but WE STILL HAVE WORK TO DO! When you’re dealing with a corporation, there are so many channels to go through, approvals to secure, and conversations to navigate, but we are here! We’re moving in faith, grateful to be qualified to take this step while recognizing we still need more to complete the journey. Would you pray with us for wisdom, provision, and favor with the city as we move through the permit approval process? We’re grateful for the progress we’ve made toward our $500,000 goal for The Road to Home Building Campaign! We have approximately $360,000 to go to help us acquire our home, prepare it for ministry, and preserve reserves for the road ahead. Would you prayerfully consider giving? THE PURCHASE IS NOT COMPLETE YET, but today we celebrate how far God has brought us as we move into our due diligence and move forward in faith. Thank you for walking with us! Give here: Freshstart707.org Acquire. Prepare. Preserve. To God be the glory! 🙌🏾 #vallejo707 #freshstartchurch #solanocounty

THE ROAD HOME UPDATE 🏠 We are continuing to make progress! We are grateful for every person that have sowed and pledged. Between what has already been received and what has been committed, we are now at $113,438 toward our $500,000 goal! That means we have $386,562 remaining. And when you begin to break that number down, you can see it, this is possible. What could happen if we did this together? Different people. Different amounts. Churches. Businesses. Partners. One goal, helping Fresh Start get HOME. We’re believing BIG, moving forward in faith, and excited about what God is going to do as more people come alongside us. If you would like to sow into The Road Home, we invite you to join us. 🌐 FreshStart707.org Zelle: FSC@freshstart707.org Text2Give: (text the amount to 844-629-1920) Ex: Give $2500 road home $386,562 to go. START AGAIN PT. 4: YOU CAN’T ENTER THE SAME WAY 📖 Genesis 32:27–31 Jacob came into the encounter wrestling, but he walked away transformed. Sometimes God will meet us in a place of struggle just to change the way we walk into our next season. Jacob wanted a blessing, but God gave him something deeper—a new identity, a new name, and a new way of moving. 💥 You can’t enter the next season carrying the same mindset that kept you stuck in the last one. The blessing may be ahead, but the transformation has to happen first. Jacob walked away with a limp, but he also walked away changed. What looked like weakness became evidence that he had encountered God. You can start again—but you can’t enter the same way. New season.
New perspective.
New identity.
New walk. It’s time to START AGAIN. 🙌🏾 #StartAgain #YouCantEnterTheSameWay #FreshStartChurch #Transformation #NewSeason

Up early, filled with faith. It’s a day of inspections at the building today. What you’re looking at right now is an empty commercial space, but imagine this… This could be the back of the stage, leading right into a space filled with worship, the Word, prayer and life change. Right now it’s empty, but we believe this can become a place people encounter God and eventually call home. That’s what The Road to Home is about. Acquire. Prepare. Preserve. We’re still about $400,000 away from our Road to Home campaign goal with 33 days remaining, and every gift helps us move another step toward home. WEEK THREE. 🏠 The Road Home continues. In three weeks, $91,050 has been pledged and $45,975 has already been received. That means nearly $46,000 has actually come in toward the vision — and we still have 40 days left. We’re grateful for every person who has decided to be part of this journey, and we’re continuing to move forward one step at a time. There is still a significant road ahead toward our $500,000 goal, but we’re encouraged by what has already happened in just three weeks. THE ROAD HOME Acquire. Prepare. Preserve. To learn more or become part of the journey, text ROADHOME to 97000 or visit freshstart707.org. 40 days left. Let’s keep moving.
