Mayyazhi, also known as Mahé, is a picturesque coastal town located on the western coast of India. Though geographically nestled within the state of Kerala, it is administratively part of the Union Territory of Puducherry. The name “Mayyazhi” in Malayalam translates to “eyebrow of the sea,” a poetic reference to its location at the estuary where the Mahe River meets the Arabian Sea

Covering just 9 square kilometers, Mahé is one of India’s smallest districts, surrounded by Kerala’s Kannur and Kozhikode districts. Despite its size, it blends French colonial heritage with Malayalam culture, visible in its architecture, cuisine, and festivals. Established as a French trading post in 1721, Mahé shifted between French and British rule before joining the Indian Union in 1954 after a local liberation movement.

Yes we are happy and thats all matter 🫂🪬 at a point of my life , my biggest fear is not making my parents proud. Dropping out in Plus 1 and losing two precious years due to personal difficulties felt like I had failed not just myself but them as well. At one point, I truly believed I would never achieve my dream of becoming a doctor, especially since I had my heart set on BAMS. I was trapped in the clutches of darkness, plagued by continuous panic attacks and crippling anxiety that nearly broke me. I almost lost myself during those times, but life has a way of teaching you lessons, often through the hardest trials, to make you stronger and bolder.

In my darkest moments, I found strength I didn’t know I had, and I slowly began to heal. I am proud of how I embraced my scars and turned them into reminders of my resilience. I still remember the faces of my parents on the day the allotment list was published—one of the happiest moments of my life. After everything I had endured, that day felt like a victory. It was also the first time in years that I slept peacefully, finally feeling a sense of relief and fulfillment.

Through it all, I’ve learned that my priority in life is happiness. Success, achievements, and making my parents proud matter deeply to me, but none of it means anything without inner peace and joy. Life’s greatest gift is the ability to find happiness even in the toughest times, and that’s what I now strive for every single day.
