POV: Your streamer brother asks you to make him food part 6 @vardanantonyan_

Makes two 9×13-inch layers

Cake ingredients

* 4 cups flour
* ½ cup cornstarch
* 1 tbsp + 1 tsp baking powder
* 1 tsp baking soda
* 1½ tsp salt
* 1½ cups unsalted butter, softened
* 2½ cups granulated sugar
* 6 large eggs, room temperature
* 2 tbsp vanilla extract
* 1½ cups buttermilk, room temperature
* ½ cup sour cream
* 1 cup rainbow sprinkles

1. Preheat oven to 350°F
2. Grease two 9×13-inch pans and line the bottoms with parchment paper
3. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt
4. In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar for about 3–4 minutes, until fluffy
5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each one
6. Add the vanilla extract
7. In another bowl, mix the buttermilk and sour cream together
8. Add the dry ingredients and buttermilk mixture to the butter mixture while alternating
9. Fold in rainbow sprinkles
10. Divide the batter evenly between the two pans
11. Bake for about 28–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs
12. Let the cakes cool completely before frosting

Buttercream frosting

* 3⅛ cups unsalted butter
* 6 cups powdered sugar
* 1 cup heavy cream
* 1 tbsp + ¾ tsp vanilla extract
* 1 tsp salt

1. Beat the butter for about 4–5 minutes until very fluffy
2. Add the powdered sugar gradually, about 1 cup at a time
3. Add the vanilla and salt
4. Add the heavy cream a little at a time until the frosting is smooth, fluffy, and spreadable (if you need more, keep adding heavy cream)
