✨ WHERE ARE THEY NOW? ✨
Congratulations to Haley Mitchell @haleyvmitchell on becoming the first pre-professional dancer to return to the Gold Coast Dance Festival as part of our “Where Are They Now?” series.
Haley first joined us as a young aspiring artist from @variationsdance , and it is incredibly special to welcome her back and see how her artistry has continued to grow.
Now a New York City-based performing artist and graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Dance, Haley continues to pursue her passions for performance, choreography, and teaching.
The Gold Coast Dance Festival is not only a place to bring accomplished professional artists to our community — it is also a place for young aspiring artists to gain experience, share the stage, be inspired, and grow. There is something truly special about watching those opportunities come full circle.
We are so proud to have welcomed Haley back and grateful to have played even a small part in her journey.

Wednesday 8/12/26 wasn't just a rare celestial alignment — six planets in a pre-dawn parade, a total solar eclipse crossing Greenland, Iceland, and Spain, and the Perseids peaking under a dark new moon (thanks, @nasa).

It was also a cosmic coming together of wholehearted women — willing, open, and ready to meet, share, and learn from each other — at Refill Your Cup with @mollyaengland: A Willow of Wellness Gathering at @publishedli.

I'm so grateful for the powerful, wise women who showed up. What started as a fun idea — Published's first Wellness Wednesday back in June — is growing into something bigger than we imagined. Thank you to @publishedli for giving Huntington villagers and Long Islanders a space to gather and build real connection.

And a huge thank-you to the local businesses who donated to help make this night fabulous. 🌖

all I cared about this year was these divas having a blast while they were dancing… sharing the joy that dance brings me was most important. I felt such pride seeing them dance their hearts out on stage. @variationsdance showed me that dance was in my soul, and now I feel so lucky to be entrusted to see and believe in that of my students.

Today I closed a major chapter in my life🥹 I have been attending Variations since I was just 3 years old and since then it has grown to become my second home. I will forever cherish all of the long hours and late nights that I have spent here.

I first want to thank Erin for creating such a safe and loving environment for young dancers to not only grow as artists, but as people too. The amount of support received here is because of her and that’s what makes Variations so special.

To ALL of my teachers and mentors, thank you for always believing in me and for always pushing me to be my best. I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for you. Your dedication and passion for this wonderful art form will continue to inspire me each day as I continue to move forward.

I will forever be grateful for the 15 years of growth that I have had at Variations. The friendships and relationships that I have made here are like no other. It has been a gift to be able to grow up at this place and I know that Variations will always be my second home💜🫂✨

There’s really nothing I love more than being miss haley. I smile for an hour straight on the train ride home to nyc every single Tuesday night. I love this damn dancing school so much🌟🌟🌠💫
