David Hutsell is our 2026 Senior Open of Virginia Champion! 🏆

Hutsell opened with a 66 at @keswick_hall and closed with a 71 in the final round to finish at 7-under par, three shots ahead of Steve Serrao. He’s the first player from Maryland to win the event since Ricky Touma in 2016.

This is his second senior title at Keswick this year, after winning the MAPGA Senior Championship here in August. Congratulations, David!

Over the weekend the Virginia State Open was held at Independence Golf Club and saw a flurry of low scores. But none were lower than Mark Lawrence Jr's championship winning 14-under par. We are proud to have made you a headcover, and look forward to all of your future successes on the short grass!

We gave @bryanjacksonpga the mic again yesterday morning ahead of the final round of the State Open. 🎤

Watch as he asks a few of our MAPGA Professionals the “hard hitting” questions 🤨

Virginia Open 2026

74-72-75 - 56th place out if 144 players - It wasn’t the week I was hoping for but I made the cut, survived the heat, survived the smokey air, and survived the longest course on my tournament schedule!

Mark Lawrence Jr. wins the State Open of Virginia for the second time! 🏆

Six years after his first title in 2020, he’s back on top, carding rounds of 67, 63, and 66, finishing 14-under par to win by four shots. After a suspended second round forced him to finish his final three holes this morning, he picked up right where he left off.

Thank you to Independence Golf Club for being a great host, and thank you to all of the all of the staff and volunteers who helped make the championship a success! 🙌🏼
