Kos deg!

Had an amazing recording session with @gullberg_ and @wensaasen yesterday! Studiotech @pst_norge at @vaterlandstudio is incredible to work with, and I feel so lucky getting to work with all these insanely talented people! ❤️ Can't wait to show you what we're cooking!

In December 2022, me and Florian where are asked to be vocal producers and recording engineers on two songs that Gåte wanted to record for their upcoming album. (If the teenage version of me had known she might’ve fainted).
I am honoured to have been asked, and I hope this is just one of several collaborations to come. I can’t say it was a difficult job as Gunnhild is an amazing vocalist and Florian has become quite the vocal producer through the years. (Whenever we are recording final vocals for Kalandra, I want him to be present).

So I was only really giving advice when needed. It was also a fun new experience being Florian’s studio assistant. Not that I undermine my input or my knowledge, but I can be quite particular about my own music. Hence why I think I knew this could be an invaluable experience for me to hold back and just watch creativity bloom in the room. Sometimes, too many chefs can create a mess. I knew my role was to make sure Florian was feeling supported, and that Gunnhild was feeling safe and comfortable.

Work also becomes easy when you know what you’re doing, and working with great people who’s s also playing on their strengths makes the dream come true.

‘Svarteboka’ and ‘Skarvane’ by @gaate_official is out now 🎵

Sveip for å se hele saken ——>
For the record er jeg klar over at pedalsteel ikke er et norsk folkemusikkinstrument 😂
