I LOVE COLOR TATTOOS!

this tattoo is so cool and so surprisingly packed with meaning! My client came in with a bunch of different elements that she wanted to portray, memories, people, and places. Every inch of this tattoo is significant to her life and her experience, from state flowers to the constellations hidden in the sky. That’s what I love about symbolism- you can make pretty things say so much more than meet the eye. I had so much fun helping her bring this to life. ✨ photos taken after the heal with a quick pass over a few areas.

This is a cover-up! Can you find the old Tattoo?

My client had even been told by another artist that her old tattoo was too dark and too large to cover up. That’s what I love about coverups is it a such a fun and rewarding challenge! We were going for a moody, romantic floral arrangement and I think it looks so good on her. This is mostly healed with a few teeny tiny adjustments. 💕

I mean, look at that leg! 😍 she wears this tattoo SO well!

Would love to start some new coverups and color tattoos if you have anything in mind 😊😊😊

When committing to a large-scale tattoo, there are three things every collector should consider.

Placement. A strong composition works with the anatomy, not against it. Every element should have purpose and flow naturally with the body.

Longevity. A tattoo should be designed with the years ahead in mind. Contrast, negative space, and readability are just as important as detail.

The Artist. Study their portfolio. Look beyond a single piece. Consistency, craftsmanship, and artistic vision matter when investing in something permanent.

Great tattooing is more than technical ability. It’s an understanding of art, anatomy, and the responsibility that comes with creating something someone will carry for a lifetime.

Choose your artist with intention.

No stencil. No predetermined design.
Every line is drawn directly onto the body, allowing the composition to develop naturally with the individual.

Freehand is more than a technique. It’s an understanding of anatomy, movement, balance, and artistic vision.
Drawn by hand. Made permanent.

Strength and tenderness. Two forces that exist together in nature.

A mother gorilla holding her young, surrounded by the world they call home. A bond built on instinct, protection, and unconditional love.

A storyteller behind the lens, captured through my own.

A fully healed OwlKing piece featuring a realism camera, created freehand for a good friend who has dedicated his craft to photography. Two art forms, one permanent story.
