Just a lazy afternoon at the museum...
*
I was invited to the @skirball_la museum for a birthday get together and private tour of "Outsiders, Outcast, Rebels + Weirdos Punk Culture 1976-86 in Los Angeles." An interesting tour with an amazing docent.

Before the tour we perused a fun exhibit, "Inventing America: The Comic Book Revolution."

There was so much more to the museum that I did not get to see. I will definitely be returning back to see the rest.

Thank you for the invite Stella.
Happy birthday Daniel!!! 🎂 🥳🎉🎈🎁

If you grew up watching El Chavo del Ocho, you know exactly what’s happening here. 📺🇲🇽
Everyone was chatting so much that Cocinera Tradicional, @viro.martinez decided our classes at @northgatemarket were the new “Escuelita del Chavo.” Nothing brings people together like our culinary exchange program with cocineras tradicionales from Mexico and a good joke.
Wait for that smile at the end—that’s the heart of our Cocina de Convivencia. ❤️

Life's too short for boring breakfasts...
*
Met up my prima, Stella and Violet to try out Pradera Brunch and it was outstanding! I had the Chilaquiles plate. I also ordered their Cafe De Olla, which is the best I've had in California. No creamer or milk is needed. Afterward, we all went shopping next door at Northgate to load up on yummy Mexican foods to take home.

Happy Hispanic Heritage Month...
*
As soon as I set foot inside Mercado Gonzalez, I instantly felt transported to Mexico! You are greeted with lively music, vibrant colors, and the different aromas coming from the puestos (food stands).

This Mercado is filled with everything you can think of: fresh cut flowers, produce, groceries, spices, candy store, agua frescas, handcrafted treasures, and the list goes on.

I had two tacos (chicken & carne asada), two churros, Oaxaqueno (diary free iced chocolate), and an Agua Fresca to go.

Everything is freshly made in-house and is authentically delicious!!! It is a fun place to immerse yourself in the culture of Mexico. 🇲🇽

Catching up with one of my favorite primas...

It's always a good time when we're together. It's been so long since we last saw each other.
Stella, you are such a fascinating person. You should write a book about your life. Thank you for introducing me to Gon'z decorations (featuring handcrafted Mexican decor) and to Bizarra Capital (a delicious Mexican eatry). #catchingupafterlongtime
