Freshman musical ✅ After moving to Bondurant and joining speech and drama I immediately knew I was going to love it here. Thank you to Hucke and Vasey for all of their hard work to put this show together and thank you seniors I cannot describe how much I’ll miss all of you!! 💗 #mammamia!

The final bow🩵

After four years I am finally taking my final bow. Mamma Mia was the movie that inspired me to audition for theatre and i have been here for 12 years. This musical has been my love and my life so it was an HONOR to have this as my last show.
I remember dancing in front of my TV pretending I was a dynamo and now I finally am a dynamo. Forever and always. Tanya has been an absolute joy to play, while i was hesitant at first I know she is perfect. I will miss her more than any other role that I have played.
Thank you Vasey and Hucke for this experience, watching our department grow has been the greatest joy. While I complain as I take on way too many tasks i would choose to do it over and over again in every lifetime.
My senior year has been a rough one for me but this show has made me excited to actually live, to remind me that throughout it all, all you have is your girls. That no matter what, the sun is still in the sky and shining above you. I can not express how grateful I am to be seen as a leader for this show. I hope i inspired someone out there to audition for the next show. I will miss theatre so much. I truly cannot believe it’s over.
I love you all.

One final song…🎶❤️✨🎼

A lot of lasts this weekend, also a lot of exhaustion.
I preformed my last jazz choir performance, my last solo, my last choral reading, and my last barbershop and treble song. But most importantly my last variety show.
Variety show has always been exhausting because it always fell on the day of IE districts… (HOSTING THIS YEAR!) But i couldn’t have asked for a better team.
Being captain has been truly the greatest joy of my life, I love my speechies and i’m so insanely proud of them. They worked so hard and it shows❤️😭 I’m so excited to one day be a speech coach and this experience has been a glimpse into that future.

Jazz choir has been with me since my freshman year, I’m one of the only people who’ve been there all four years. Jazz choir helped me realize my voice type and finding comfort in music. Jazz has been my therapy, through my mental health, falling in love, heartbreak, health issues ANYTHING, music has been there for me.
I’m so incredibly lucky to be a performer, to have the opportunity to be on stage and sing and show other people my therapy. What has been there for me since the beginning.
I’m not ready to say goodbye to it all, i know this is the beginning of the end and im not sure what to do.

Thank you Vasey, Baumover and Hucke for helping me these past couple of weeks, navigating my leadership roles in this department. So lucky to have such amazing leaders and role models.

Variety show, i’m exhausted but i’ll miss it so much…
