Last night was extraordinary. Five graduating choreographers. Five radically different artistic voices. Five works shaped through rigorous choreographic research, embodied enquiry, and deeply individual creative practice. @oliviadaniellerose @lucykitchener_ @heidi.jane_ @vee.fusion @immiwhelan.dance Across live and screen-based performance, audiences encountered work exploring memory, migration, identity, boredom, belonging, cultural inheritance, and the politics of the body, each piece offering its own distinct aesthetic, methodology, and relationship with audience. This is what dance at Kingston School of Art can hold: criticality, experimentation, collaboration, risk, and artistic courage. These images offer glimpses from yesterday’s dress rehearsal and technical process, those vital moments where light, sound, scenography, and performance begin to converge into fully realised artistic work. Tonight marks the final evening of our 2026 Degree Show Festival, an opportunity to encounter the remarkable depth, diversity, and originality of this graduating cohort. @kingston.school.of.art @kingstonuniversity #dance #education #artists

Student spotlight: Vanessa Unsudimi @vee.fusion Dance Project Festival 2026 A vibrant celebration of our graduating artists from KSA Dance and Dance & Drama: bold, fearless work across live performance and film. We’re proud to open our sneak peak series ahead of next week with Vanessa Unsudimi, whose powerful piece moves between stage and screen, bringing together memory, identity, and collective strength with striking clarity. Vanessa writes: “We must remember, to reimagine. Surrounded by the quiet hands that guide us on this side of life, nothing is impossible. Rooted in the culture that rubs through our blood, I am my people, my people are me. United by the essence that makes us who we are, there is no greater strength than the amalgamation of us. As night turns into day, and then day into night, the only way is forward. And when we reminisce on the good old days, we’ll feel nothing but pride at where we are today. And when you close your eyes, you’ll always remember this. Because this, is your Requiem.”

Stuck! 🩻 @stuckthemusicalfilm The musical short film where I worked on as a choreographer across the entire cast: choreographing both the actors and the dancers to bring this wild story to life. Working on this, I learned that every year, the NHS removes 400 objects from rectums… so @mattnicholas.x and @martiguiver decided to make a musical about it and I got to choreograph the whole thing 😌 One of the most unexpected, creative and genuinely fun projects I’ve ever been part of. Shaping scenes through movement, building it all from the ground up, and planning the shots with my absolute dynamic duo partner @steadijayy . This one is special. Proud is an understatement. I can’t wait for everyone to see it 🎬 . This is one for the books! With the amazing cast: @irvineiqbal @annabellajennings @beynon.will @suannebraun And my amazing dancers: @__crystalc__ @emma_levene_ @emmaclandon @preronamondal @lucy.hambidge @vee.fusion @edgaropazmino @hurrikayne3.0 @yousuf_ratul #musicalshortfilm #luciecamelo #choreographer #musical #dancers

This summer, I had the honour of being an event producer with the incredible @lin_kam_art team at Notting Hill Carnival 🎉 Huge thanks to @linett_kamala for involving me 🙏🏾 We created the first ever Wellness Space at Carnival in Shrewsbury Road Gardens, raising awareness of our culture through art installations, talks on heritage, carnival & community, Caribbean-themed games, a reggae choir, spoken word, meditation workshops and more. I’m so proud to have been part of the team that made this happen 🖤 #NottingHillCarnival #WellnessSpace #CultureThroughArt #eventproducer #dayinthelife

POV: You’ve contributed to the production of one of the biggest and most successful festivals in the world 😌 - @lin_kam_art Young Festival & Carnival Producers: @linett_kamala 40th Anniversary @ 2025 Notting Hill Carnival U.K. The 2025 Notting Hill Carnival is being hailed as one of most successful editions to date! Overall attendance: Up to 2 million people making it the biggest community-led festival on the planet! This is a result of a huge all year round team effort. Compared to other festivals in the U.K. it is statistically the safest, and this is with the addition of being a unique free event taking place on the streets of West London, born out of the people’s response led by Rhaune Lastlett to the racially motivated murder of Kelso Cochrane in 1959. As one of the Board Directors / Official organisers of this iconic international festival, I’m proud to say congratulations to the wonderful team I’ve had the pleasure of training this year: @chasetymusic @jamroki @lucysheikh @miacousins.performance @mwathi._ @beckxzah @sophiaphillips.art @vee.fusion Be sure to add this achievement to the top of your CV.
