We celebrate Indigenous Peoples Day, never columbus day. ✊🏽 I’m late with this post , but every day is Indigenous Peoples Day! Another beautiful annual gathering for us at #ipdnyc, Lenapehoking lands 🙏🏽🪶. A special one as we honor Auntie Ladonna and the strong bond between Standing Rock and Mauna Kea. So good to see everyone after my long hiatus. So good to be in Brooklyn, walking Brooklyn Bridge Park at night and eating Chinese food with the homies. As we celebrate the final days of Hispanic Heritage Month, I’m reflecting on a film I’m incredibly proud to have helped bring to life: PRIMERA. 🇨🇱🎬 @primerafilm Documenting Chile’s 2019 estallido social, this powerful film captures the courage, resilience, and humanity of people demanding dignity and change. You might know it as Giants Stadium, or the Meadowlands, or MetLife Stadium, depending on your age and team allegiance. For the 2026 World Cup it’s been temporarily renamed NY/NJ Stadium. As nearly an estimated 2 billion people tune-in to the stadium for the World Cup Final, we visit the community just beyond the stadium’s gates, East Rutherford. Population 10,566. Stadium neighbor and avid runner, Medoune, takes us to @eroscafe_nj to meet owners, Rhea, and Dimitri. Eros is an absolute gem. Here Mediterranean flavors blend harmoniously with Caribbean vibes. The result is Greek - Latin cuisine. It’s a unique marriage that feels like something that could only happen in New York - New Jersey. We capped off the day with a spread of perfectly grilled Lamb Chomps alongside tostones and yucca, topped with mojo and caramelized red onions, beef and lamb empanadas, seafood paella, and homemade pita with tzatziki sauce. To wash it down Dimitri paired it all perfectly with the criminally under-valued Moschofilero wine from Ktima Voyatzi. We’ll be back. And we’re bringing friends. Counting down to @prparade Taking it back 30 years to June 1996! Another first with my bro @djtonytouch We had just dropped Issue 3 of Stress Magazine with #JayZ on the cover (his first-ever magazine cover). I told the team, “We’re getting a float in the Puerto Rican Day Parade!” At the time, no HipHop or urban brand had ever participated. The parade was mostly corporate sponsors w/ salsa bands. We had no money, but somehow the parade organizers took a liking to me and let us in… with the most hooptie float imaginable. 😩😜😂 I called Tony and said, “Tone! I got us a float. Let’s rock this thing together!” His response: “Bet! I’m gonna bring up this group from Puerto Rico called Guatauba. They’re doing this new Spanish reggae sound that’s blowing up down there.” (It wasn’t even called reggaeton yet!) Then I called my bro @shabazzbrothers and he came through to help sponsor the float. The rest is history! We became one of the first Hip Hop/urban brands in the parade—and introduced Reggaeton to NYC. By the time we hit 84th Street, hundreds of people were dancing and walking alongside the float, and of course, we got a flat tire. 😩😂 This Sunday, 6/14, catch the @barriobx float bringing that same unmatched energy and vibes back to 5th Ave. 🇵🇷🔥 #PuertoRicanDayParade #StressMagazine #Guatauba #truetothisnotnewtothis

Happy 25th bday and massive congratulations @xolo_mariduena ! Last night was special with the premier of @killingcastromovie directed by @eifrivera featuring young (not so young) Xolo as one of the leads. It was wonderful to witness the film with friends and celebrate this milestone of 25 and living the dream. Onwards with purpose, passion, intelligence, and lots of love. 🎂 🎊🎉🎬 love you!

One Iconic Cover. 🎯 ​Before Reasonable Doubt changed everything, Jaÿ-Z was just a hungry entrepreneur willing to do whatever it took to get ahead—even offering to pay the printing costs for his first cover. But the streets (and the staff at Stress Magazine) knew his worth, and the cover was earned, not bought. 🗽 Shout Outs to my brother @alankets And @veebravo ​I waited hours at the Roc-A-Fella offices near Wall Street. When Jay finally stepped out, he was standoffish, urgent, and gave me exactly 15 minutes before his next meeting. I had to adjust to his energy and work with the lines of the city. 🏙️ ​Looking back at these contact sheets, you can see my "Sniper" mentality. I saw the geometric lines forming around the Twin Towers and placed Jay right in the heart of them. He wasn't just a rapper in this shot; he was a building among buildings—a prelude to the billion-dollar empire he was about to build and the only one standing. 🏗️💰 After I got the 2 rolls of 120 film. Exactly 24 shots. 20 images. That was it. Film was a totally different ball game. Photographers from today will never understand that pressure. But hey. We gotta evolve. After I got the film we went to Stress Magazine office and worked with new commer @slanginc whom I hired straight out of college and my bother went to do some amazing graphic work and art.
