To those trying to justify this as “tradition”—ask your soul.

If your devotion cannot protect the vulnerable and voiceless, what does it protect?

Respect all life. Honour the divine in them.

Cruelty does not become sacred simply because it wears the garb of tradition.

This is animal trafficking.
This is temple confinement in chains.

Elephants belong in the wild.
Let them be free.

Looking for outrage from all the "Dals" against molesters tainting the saffron color and disrespecting our religion. If they don't outrage on this, is their outrage exclusively reserved only when it concerns a woman's clothes?

Where are we going as a society where influencers pick incidents of irresponsible pet ownership and use it to demonize all dogs and animal lovers? This is not a fight between dog lovers and others. This is a fight between all people who want peace and a system which refuses to listen. Why can't we increase the fines and punishment on illegal breeding? Why can't we have a pet license and monitor all breed purchases? Why can't we promote desi dog adoption? No dog is dangerous. It's the pet owner who is dangerous and such pet owners need the harshest punishment. But let's not spread generalized hatred for dogs, dog lovers or even pitbuls. I have 1 rescued pitbul at my farm who is sweeter than any dog I know and I get kisses from her every time I meet her. Hatred has no end.

Let's stop the hate and ask for solutions.

She’s eating well, has clean stools, and is doing okay. She has a mild case of mange and is going for a vet visit today to get the treatment she needs.

But she desperately needs a foster home. 🏠

Illegal relocation of sterilised dogs being done by MCD (Municipal Corporation Delhi) ,at C Block Park, VikasPuri.

A request to all the West Delhi Volunteers to reach there tomorrow 10am as the MCD is going again to catch the dogs. Stop this illegal relocation!

A few of my babies live outside, on the streets, but they will always be my responsibility and a part of my heart.

Pikachu, Maya, Tipsy, Tara , Shiva , my construction site kids & Joey’s four pups❤️

They have their vaccination books, are protected against ticks and fleas, are fed well and cared for. But they still live outside.

And now, with festival season approaching, my heart is already filled with fear.

Last Diwali, Tara disappeared for almost five days because of the crackers. She hid underground without food or water and came back in a terrible condition. Pikachu had to be moved to boarding because she was terrified too.

This year, Joey’s four pups will experience their first Diwali. Tipsy and Maya are also still learning to navigate the streets safely.

Ganesh Chaturthi, Durga Puja, Dussehra and then Diwali… one festival after another.

For everyone else, it’s celebration season. For those of us who care for community animals, it’s also a season of constant worry.

Will they hide? Will they run? Will they get hurt? Will they come back?

I don’t know how I’ll manage to keep all of them safe yet, but I’ll do everything I can.

Maybe only another community animal caretaker will understand this fear ..while the world celebrates, a part of your heart is always outside, worrying about your babies.

I just pray they all stay safe🧿
