Would you travel across the globe with a group of strangers? 🤩
I’m sure you’ve seen some of my posts from my trip to Bangkok and Chiang Mai last September, and I’m so excited to do it again this year in Phuket and Phi Phi Islands! The goals for this trip are simply to have fun, learn about Thai culture, make new friends, and EAT!! While the last trip was slam-packed with city life, the trip this year is going to be full of sun and sand. I’ve created a Phuket story highlight on my page showcasing a breakdown of the itinerary. Please let me know if you have any questions - I’m happy to answer 😊

Would you travel across the globe with complete strangers? 👀

Last year I was presented with an opportunity I’d never considered - the chance to host a trip to anywhere in the world and invite any of you who’d like to join to come along.

TLDR: This @trovatrip ended up being the coolest experience of my life. If you want to come along for another in 2026, comment THAILAND and I’ll DM you!

I hosted a survey via my stories, and with everyone’s combined interests + travel budgets I chose an itinerary in Thailand that offered a few days in Bangkok, then a sleeper train to finish the trip with a few days in Chiang Mai.

The trip cost covers hotels, all transportation to activities, and this itinerary included most meals! My god did we EAT 😋

We started in Bangkok with the railway and floating markets, tuk tuks through the city to eat street food - hit a few things off itinerary, iykyk 😉 - visited a rice farm and cooked tom kha and other delicious dishes on a charcoal stove, tasted fresh coconut sugar, salsa danced in a 60’s Cuban-themed bar, visited temples on our own…the list goes on.

We slept on a 14-hour train to Chiang Mai, which was such a cool experience. The next day, we got up early for a hike through Doi Inthanon National Park. It was pouring rain, which made it all the more magical. We hiked down a mountain and made our way to a coffee farm nestled in the valley. We touched coffee beans on their trees, watched how they were roasted and drank it fresh. We then ate lunch - tom yum, fried fish, fresh vegetables, and so much more, overlooking the rainy fields. We explored Chiang Mai and quite literally shopped until we dropped. It was the perfect end to a busy few days.

Everyone on this trip was kind, curious and open. We truly had such an amazing group.

After having such an amazing experience, I’d love to host another next year. I’m launching a trip back to Thailand, but to Phuket and Phi Phi Islands this time. This trip will be beach focused, including snorkeling, island-hopping, boat rides, etc. We’re going from November 8th-14th 2026. If you have any questions at all or are thinking about joining, comment THAILAND below and I’ll DM you!
