AGC RIDE OUT 2026 🚴 🚴‍♀️ 🚴‍♂️ 28 riders from across the AGC descended on Worthy Down to join up with like minded people including the Corps SM to enjoy a sports afternoon (day) 😉. All 4 groups tackled the 100km rolling route enjoying a well deserved coffee, cake or wrap along the way. It was fantastic to see so many riders come together from across the Corps with a few riders completing their first Gran Fondo ever which is no easy task. Thank you to all the riders, group leaders and support driver for making the day possible. We look forward to seeing you at the next one. #agc #agccycling #britsharmycycling #inspiringsoldierstocycle

🏆 ARMY CYCLING ROAD RACE CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026 On a hot Wednesday morning in Colchester the team descended to compete in the 2026 Championships. This time not to compete for the Corps but as individuals. Tim Stringer and Toby Berry-Naisbitt started the day off in the support race. Both worked hard either with others or solo as the heat took its toll on the competitors both delivered their best performances to date. Next up was the Masters and Grand Masters race with Jon Robinson, John Axtell and Greg Haskins representing the Corps. An early break went which Jon R followed and worked well as a 4 to stay away. Greg and John A positioned well to conserve energy in the pack knowing it would come down to a sprint finish. Jon R kicked hard and was able to take the win and be crowned the 2026 Grand Masters Champion. Finally the open riders took to the course with Dan Cross and Jon Robinson for a second time ready for the challenge. A fast paced race there were attacks throughout. Eventually the elastic snapped and Dan dropped from the lead group and cramp hindered Jon’s race but didn’t end Jon’s race. A fantastic day for the Corps the results below speaking for themselves. 🏁 Results Support Race 10th - Time Stringer 12th - Toby Berry-Naisbitt Masters and Grand Masters Race 🏆- Jon Robinson 16th - Greg Haskins 20th - John Axtell Open Race 9th - Jon Robinson 11th - Dan Cross 📸 @phil_carr_photography 📸 @luke_b_visuals #inspiringsoldierstocycle #britisharmycycling #agccycling #agc britisharmysport

Ex IRON CADENCE 26 ✅ And just like that we are back to reality. An absolutely outstanding training camp with the team putting in a solid performance throughout the week. In total each rider racked up some serious time in the saddle with each rider racking up just under 600km’s and over 8000m climbed. Now it’s time to put that to good use and see what this season has ahead. A big thank you to @adjutantgeneralscorps @britisharmysport @britarmycycling and @armysportlottery for the support. #agccycling #inspiringsoldierstocycle #britisharmysport #mallorca

Ex IRON CADEND - Day 5 After a big day in the saddle yesterday today the team took an easy spin to the lighthouse on Cap De Formentor. Not a flat day by any means and still some work to be done but the view at the end was well worth it. After a quick photo opportunity we dropped back down to base camp to rest up ahead of another big day tomorrow. #agccycling #agc #inspiringsoldierstocycle #capdeformentor #brotisharmysport

Ex IRON CADENCE 26 - Day 5 A monster of day day conquering Coll de Tofla, Coll de Orient, Coll de Honor, Coll de Soller and Puig Major which say the team take 2,508m over 136.95km’s. Each and everyone of our riders put themselves through it today battling from the start to the end. This was not an easy day and there was some real determination and grit. Notably this was also the longest ride for @charlottebeckey20 and what a way to do it. Tomorrow is a much easier day by comparison and will see the team take on an iconic climb on the island. #agccycling #agc #inspiringsoldiertocycle #britisharmysport #cycling

Ex IRON CADENCE 2026 - Day 3 After a big day out yesterday and before the team roll out on another one tomorrow we took the chance to get a recovery ride banked. Nice and chilled, rolling turn, coffee, cake and then feet up. Just what was needed before we go again in the morning. #agccycling #agc #inspiringsoldierstocycle #britisharmysport #armysportslottery

Ex IRON CADENCE 26 - Day 2 The team rolled out together ahead of today’s challenge. We rolled out easing the pace and waking the legs up for what was to come. The first climb of the day was the Coll De Sa Batalla. Knowing we were coming back to do this one another day the team tapped up the climb before regrouping and then rolling on. We gradually made our way toward the days main event - Sa Calobra. We first had to descend down into the small fishing village recharge with a coffee before taking on the challenge. Everyone pushed hard digging in fighting their own battle. One by one we took the summit before dropping back down to regroup. After a quick recharge we were back on the road and heading to base camp. Great riding from all leaving everyone very happy. A flatter day on the cards tomorrow but for now it’s time to rest up. #agccycling #agc #inspiringsoldierstocycle #mallorca #cycling

The team were back on track for the first time this year to compete in the Spring Cup which was hosted at Dalton Baracks. It was great to get some of the team back together ready to battle the wind on a very open airfield. The day was delivered in two stages with riders completing an ITT before sitting in the pack of the support and open races. First off was the support race which was followed one minute later by the ladies race. This was @kyle.newham and Lisa Wade’s first time join us and it was great to see a couple of new faces who we hope become regular faces. In the support race, Kyle did really well learning where to push and where to use other riders to his advantage. It was also amazing to see that. @jim_stinger how to put the time in over the off-season having his best race yet. In the ladies race, there was an earlier attack off the front which our team and Army Rider @caitlinbeddoe tried hard to go with but just missed out. She tactically used other riders to her advantage and took 🥈 overall. Lisa pushed herself hard coming from a triathlon background. The bike is familiar to her and she did a fantastic job of working with other riders to come across the line with a smile on her face. In the open race, we had @dan_cross__ , @bullousluke , @velokru and Dean Smith. This was a Stackfield with a lot of surges punching off the front. This caused a lot of breaks forming multiple groups around the course. Our riders either worked with other team riders or other cap badges who found themselves off the back to get around a challenging course. Thanks to @rlc_cycling_association and @britarmycycling for putting on another great event and a good start of the year. See you at round one in Swindon in two weeks time. #agccycling #inspiringsoldierstocycle #cycling #britisharmysport #racing
