The act of moving has always accompanied the artist. From ancient craftsmen following the routes of empire to modern painters escaping censored art markets, the relocation of an artist’s body has often preceded the relocation of their gaze

We’re happy to share something deeply personal: Insights—a documentary project about the people of ESH. Featuring a digital workspace and in-depth team interviews, it explores the human side of design 👩‍💻🧑‍💻

It’s a reflection on team work, the interplay of personal and professional, the emotions that challenge and feed us, creativity and labor, and the quest to find our place in the design universe and survive 💬 💬 💬

Insights (Инсайты) is an invitation for everyone grappling with big questions about their profession, offering you a space to reflect and resonate with shared experiences. With this project, we hope to connect with you, understand each other better, and start honest conversations about what truly matters in our field.

Insights (Инсайты) is a documentary project about the people of ESH.

Every successful project is shaped by its creators—their emotions, visions and cultures. That’s why Insights highlights everyone on our team, including young professionals, whose perspectives are as valuable as those of experienced colleagues.

At its core are 17 candid team interviews, led by Polina Drozhkova, a professional interviewer with extensive experience working with designers, who asks, “Who are you in the design universe?”.

Polina shares: “I wanted to avoid toxic positivity and focus beyond achievements. Each interview unfolded naturally, capturing the rich mix of doubts and superpowers that define every designer. We shared reflections, visions of past and future, moments of misunderstanding and breakthrough. Final texts preserve careful dialogues built on trust and sensitivity.”

These conversations remind us: great work starts with the people behind it.

Insights (Инсайты) is a documentary project about the people of ESH.

It emerged from a desire to create better relationships and reconnect as a team. It helps us to confront alienation, relate to each other as coworkers and humans, and paint a collective portrait of our studio.

The first part of the project is a website—a metaphorical office, a shared space lost to the pandemic and war. It offers a glimpse into each team member’s context: the art and music that keep us going, our workspaces, daily routines, and approaches to work. Here, you can discover what unites us, and find curious artefacts of our daily lives.

Project creative director Violetta Postnova shares: “Creating this website was essential—it showcases our skills and passion for web design while reflecting who we are. It brings together insights from a team survey and interviews from our studio blog, offering a deep dive into how we exist and create.”

We welcome you to take a closer look. Link in Bio ↑
