@virgilabloh went full fledged with processing his vision. @off____white as a brand has taught me that you do not have to confine yourself to the thoughts and ideas of the masses in order to be successful. I say this because a lot of Abloh’s pieces appeared questionable to the average eye, but people will gravitate towards anything you create as long as you take the proper risks. I am driven by the risk those who come before me has taken. After the passing of Abloh, I felt that it was vital to honor what he has done for fashion and hip-hop culture in the only way I know how. The only way for the masses to see a vision is through the lens of a camera. I purchased Virgil Abloh’s Figures of Speech book during his 2019 exhibit at @mcachicago. Almost his entire life's work inside the book. This inspired me to use the book as a way of saying his fans will always hold value to his legacy. With this project, I wanted to show that we are still with Virgil. #virgilwashere
