The performances on opening night of the Animamus Art Salon Exhibition at @nottheregallery were mesmerizing, to say least. First @loucifer_rising performed a new piece and then
@the_badtimes_official played a set while the audience poured milky gunge on the Worms of @sylvadeanandme. Thank you to all of the artists, everyone who attended and a special thanks to @jreckstein for this gorgeous video featuring Into the Sky by The Bad Times. It was a night to remember.

When I was younger I was obsessed with this episode of Hidden Brain that discussed the social science behind sharing a meal. They tested how quickly two people across the table from one another came to agree on an idea first while eating different flavored items and then while sharing the same flavor experience. People who at the same things while in conversation came to their agreement significantly faster. It’s something that has sat in the back of my mind every time I have gathered around food since. It’s why I am such an ardent supporter of ordering a bit of everything and sharing instead of everyone ordering a separate meal.

It no doubt played a role in the easy connections built during this Wasted x Natoora dinner. We shared two simple, but flavorful plates of food, family style with strangers. And many of us walked away with new connections and friendships.

Another victory for the home team (us) and a hat trick for Messi tonight too!

A peak into the wonderful world of Work in Progress. The most exciting art event I have been to so far. Collective creation, interactive exhibits, artists inspired and inspiring. I’m headed back this afternoon to see everything I missed the first time around.

Did I mention I became part of the art at Work in Progress? Ventiko’s In Fieri asks: What are you in the process of becoming? Do you have the grace to allow those around you to become themselves as well?

Hannah and I hit the beach! We both layered up with sunscreen and still somehow managed to get sunburns. The sky was the bluest it’s ever been. The wind gave with one hand and took away with another. We had the loveliest breeze keeping us comfortable and also the wind was whipping sand at our backs on a regular interval.

Thank you to the @workinprogress__official team for inviting me to experience what is perhaps the coolest event I have been to in years.
.
I was running short on time because I had to get to French class which means I missed out on an entire floor of art and artists, and even still I came out of this experience a changed person. I had conversations with people treating engineering as art, watched performances, was introduced to new mediums for self-expression, and participated in the making as much as I could.
.
You really shouldn’t miss this.
