I've been throwing myself into my art lately, allowing it to consume my free time and headspace. It’s easy to be recluse when working on projects and developing new skills. I am use to living in my own world. What’s more difficult, is to push past the fear of being seen. Pursuing any career seriously also comes with a touch of “putting yourself out there”. Im learning to push past my fear of being vulnerable, judged, and rejected. As I grow into my thirties, I'm finally accepting that I won't be liked or valued by everyone. My work wont be understood by everyone. And that’s liberating. To do things for the joy of it, to do things for yourself because you have the desire to— free from fear. When whatever you do is the expression of your source, you will be self-fulfilled regardless of what you do. You won’t notice those who don’t notice, and you’ll become closer to those who do. I don’t have it all figured out, but I trust that I am on the right path and I’m so grateful for those who are on it with me #blessed

I now fully understand now why people call their small business their “baby”. You will lose sleep, you will spend money, you’ll stay home when your friends go out, you will be exhausted from the hours of work and research, you will spend most of your time working or thinking of new ways to improve it. As an artist, I sometimes find myself frustrated with the process. Maybe a piece of my work didn’t sell as fast as I’d hoped, or maybe a potential client fell through. Maybe the great idea I had, ended up not being so great.. It’s so easy to judge and compare our work to others when we feel this way. Our ego tells us that our perceived failure means there is something wrong with us. Now we could let ego win and give up, or we could allow these failures to ignite our transformation. Sit with your feelings and get curious about the situation. Ask yourself, Is there a toxic belief behind this feeling? Is there anything I could have done differently? Then, get real with yourself about what you really want out of this life, what is it that sparks joy within you? What do you want to share with others? We all bring unique gifts to this world. When we move through life authentically we become aligned with our souls purpose. When we are acting in alignment we begin to see our path unfold in front of us. So I remind myself that my art is hung in homes across the country, my art is worn on clothing, my art is being used as profile photos. Knowing that something that I created with love brings others joy is the greatest reward. Helping others follow their dreams makes my heart full. This, is my souls purpose. And that is why I keep pushing. My message to you is to keep creating, keep pushing, and don’t lose sight of your soul purpose ❣️

Secret Dreams was incredible 💜🪩 I’m so grateful for the opportunity to share my skills and passions with the community. I’ll be adding a blog post on my website in the next couple days to share a little overview of what they added, what’s changed, and tips for those interested in attending next years 💞
