Lunch at the most beautiful palazzo in Venice with Bianca Arrivabene , the chatelaine of the Palazzo Papadopoli.. A large part of the Palazzo is now run by the Aman hotel who have done a beautiful job.
Many people just call it the @aman_venice but it’s actually Palazzo Papadopoli , and still owned by the family.
(The Aman has done such a good job that George Clooney .. And Jeff Bezos had their weddings there)
Bianca and Giberto still live in the palace in the family quarters ..It’s been in the family for centuries…. I’ve just made that up but I imagine that correct !! 😂
We had a lovely morning meeting @gibertovenezia and Bianca at the Rialto bridge.. what fun they are ! We went to the family shops ..the Venetian shoe shop of @veraarrivabene @vibivenezia @mafaldaarrivabene and the glass shop of @gibertovenezia next door . So so chic !

Both Bianca and Giberto are so attractive …So so amusing, witty , charming and hugely open and insightful on what it is like to own a palazzo on the Grand Canal .
Not easy is the answer . It’s a lifetime of work . They personally restored many of these rooms .
The Aman has been the answer to everyone’s dreams… it’s turned this family palazzo into the most successful hotel in Italy …and definitely the most famous .
I was lucky enough to be one of the first people to have seen it during its soft opening 13 years ago.
It’s still as spell bindingly beautiful as it was before. I’ve been lucky enough to go to a wonderful party here a few years ago. Every time I’ve been blown away by its beauty . It really is the most beautiful palazzo in Venice.
Our private lunch was in the library.
We all loved it !
The whole day was so glamorous , with such a wonderful hostess .
It was a most wonderful experience . I loved it so much !
PS on the staircase walking into the main rooms we passed a Chinese guest in the most beautiful Chinese silk pleated , hand embroidered skirt .. Some of us nearly fainted it was so beautiful. The Chinese are really are the best dressed people in the world today .
