Me: asks people what they're wearing so that I'm not overdressed

Also me:

But I guess there's no such term as 'overdressed' in drag 😅

So many throwbacks to The Migrated Kingdom of Drag project from everyone in the past few days, so here's mine 💖

It was a pleasure to watch the performance of @eatmeclub in the summer and witness the birth of @polishmigrantsorganise drag project!

I couldn't be in Liverpool for the MKoD workshops & showcase, but I was covering the whole process on social media and after seeing the photos and videos I can confidently say well done to everyone involved 💖 so much joy, creativity and radical potential!

Congrats @rita_vision a.k.a. @januszthedragking, @krzysia_balinska, @livia_liv00 @marz.zukowska & @eatmeclub ✨ absolute stars! And of course hats off to the workshops participants, you all were unreal!!!

And @krzysia_balinska I'm going to miss you so so much 🥺

We will be on the @melodicdistractionuk airwaves at 12pm today! @verachok and @emilybeswick28 will be playing a selection of music by ESEA artists chosen by our network, from Japanese punk to Mandarin pop.

Also featuring an exclusive interview with Yi Wang, the director of @queereast , an LGBTQ+ film festival that showcases rarely-seen queer cinema from East and Southeast Asia. Queer East is coming to Liverpool this week and we chat about the origins of the festival, why they are going on the road, and 'East Palace, West Palace’, one of the first films from mainland China to dramatise gay experience.

Listen live on melodicdistraction.com

If you can’t tune in live, the show will also be available to listen to after broadcast!

So overjoyed and privileged to have been swept by the tsunami of Love that was Migrated Kingdom of Drag last week. There is no way for words to describe what’s it all been like!

Thank you everyone who jumped on the drag train with us to join the adventure - your presence and generosity in sharing imagination, creativity, rage and humour is everything to me.

Thank you @theworldtransformed for having Mascs and Mascaras - and first workshop of Masculinity for Beginners on the line up.

Thank you @kingconfuza @urpolishbf @wellhungparliament for stunning performances and the most thought-provoking Q&A about what it means to be a drag king, a drag monster or a drag thing.

Thank you Rita aka Janusz for holding the space so gently yet firmly, sharing your experience in exploring masculinity (it can bite, thanks for keeping an eye!), countless anecdotes and drag wisdom. You bloody ROCK!

Thank you @alexogdenclark for sharing your brilliant make up skills, warming up the crowd on the night and being an overall superstar!

Thank you @eatmeclub for welcoming us so generously into the show and all of your support. We couldn’t imagine a warmer space for our very first drag encounter.

Thank you @polishmigrantsorganise for being the best dream team one could possibly imagine.

Thank you @lovelockscoffeeshop and @liverpoolartsbar for having us!

Drag king Kris Kross thanks you all for a space to unleash his inner punk and mess with the performance of gender, and very special thanks to Marzena for campaigning successfully for Liar’s and Kris Kross’ shared number.

This feels like a beginning of a beautiful, beautiful friendship…
