“Heavy” is a song from my third solo album “In The Company Of Others”, I collaborated on with my dear friend the late composer and pianist Vernon D. Hill. I remember clearly the day he sent me the track. Upon the first listen, I knew immediately what I wanted to do so, I quickly loaded it into a session and recorded the hook. Hooks have always come easy for me, it’s typically the first thing that comes to mind. I trust my initial reaction, it has never failed me and has proven to be honest and pure. It’s a kin to the old saying “always follow your first mind“. I’m proud to say that the message of “Heavy” remains relevant to the times we are living in ; “ you’ve heard of the law of vibration, like things attract. So what do you want to attract to your life, bring back to your life.” You can listen and purchase it on my Bandcamp page paulrandolph.bandcamp.com/track/heavy or on your favorite download and streaming services.
