In January, I took a trip to visit family and friends that I hadn’t seen in a while, well over a decade for some. It’s taken me a while to realize this, but making / finding the time to share space is very important. Here’s a collection of images:
1- @darcy_neniska with the capture of the trip at Castle MTN in southern Alberta.
2- Phoebe wanted to come.
3- The Invermere Moose was enjoyed while I walked around the nice downtown to decompress from the drive.
4- In Kimberly the $18 XC ski pass was way more appealing than a $150 DH ski pass.
5- My aunty Ev and uncle Dan that spurred the idea for the trip. They are in their 80’s now and living approx. 16 hours apart from them made me take the trip and enjoy their stories for a few days. All our relatives have lead interesting lives, spend some time with them.
6- Bootleg Bike Co. in Kimberly was started by some old friends from Calgary.
7- Fernie was an overnight stop & the morning felt like a good time to go for a walk. I’ll be damned if I wasn’t super impressed with the groomed walking paths that the town maintains - way to go Fernie!
8- @aaronlarocque and I are certified bike geeks and we met back in the Pinkbike days.
9- @darcy_neniska and I met in the Calgary days when bike shop life was the best life (ok that still holds true for me ha). Thanks for showing me the goods.
10- More of the goods at Castle MTN resort.
11- XC skiing outnumbered Snowboarding = Am I aging?
12- Me w/ a Longhorn in Longview, Alberta
13- @skylergroat and I grew up next door to each other and he’s a true cowboy and my cousin.
14- White Buffalos on the ranch where Skyler works.
15- It was so great to get together with my Aunty Pat, Uncle Jean, and the whole Trudel family that calls Calgary home now.
16- My cousin @wedmanmike gives me some beard envy. Thanks for getting the family together while I was there.
17- Rolling into Hinton, AB I was happy to cross paths w/ @donnhore Looking forward to going boarding one day buddy!
18- Homemade Perogies at my Mom’s (thanks to Dave and Barb for the care package).
19- Rolling out of Hinton on route home to Smithers.
20- Just over 3500kms in 13 days, thanks to everyone that I crossed paths with.

Excited to introduce you all to my latest creation: the Mirror Project! 🪞 This space is all about self-reflection, finding beauty in everyday moments, and embracing who we are. In this journey, I'm thrilled to share the powerful energy of the Yantra Sacred Geometry image, the Shri Yantra, featured in the photo. This ancient symbol represents the universe and our connection to the divine. Join me on this path of introspection and discovery! 💫 #MirrorProject #SelfReflection #EmbraceYourself #ShriYantra #SacredGeometry

I moved from the Big City to Kimberley BC, twelve years ago, and I have been grateful ever since. We live surrounded by nature, which means whatever outdoor pursuits you enjoy, they are just 5 minutes away.

A few of my motivators to get out and embrace the outdoors are:
*the ever changing beauty of nature throughout the seasons never ceases to impress me, and provide photographic moments
*enthusiasm from my young nieces as they bravely try new adventures
*inviting warmth of the sunrise as it kisses the golden larches atop our ski hill
*the joyful giggles and vibrant personalities of the people I hold dear to me
*observing the older generations of our community still getting after it
*passion radiated by my friends motivates me to join in. I aim to share the same energy to also encourage
*the feeling of dirt in my toes and under my nails as I give-a-go at gardening
*sound of a creek or river as it flows by
*the silence of snow falling while meandering in the forest
*our sweet pup Parker, he had an incredible zest for life, and now we strive to honour his memory each day
*Pica, our sweet girl, always ready to hit the trails. Albeit, a slower pace now. She takes in every smell which certainly is a gentle reminder
*my sweet fella, whether i encourage us to get out there or he pushes us to go a little further. We keep one another motivated
**Above all, LOVE, love of where we live, of what it allows us to do, and those we get to do it with.
And if you look closely, you will see love all throughout nature.

People like to say you are fearless because they see you do the unimaginable but you are not this word “fearless.”

You are transformative and endless. I watch you feel your fear and dive in towards it. You are not dismissive or nonchalant about it. It’s encompassing for you. I see it fill your whole body , your whole mind……and…. gradually in your own special way you somehow shift it, and wiggle it and let wash all over you….till it clicks! You begin to expand and then you got it!! ❤️❤️…. And then, it’s on to the next grand adventure. 🥰🥰

You turned 10 and you have already learnt this piece of magic and I love you. You are the imaginer!!! Now imagine what you can do next. ❤️🌺🌸Happy birthday tiny bean. 🔥❤️❤️❤️😍🥰😍🥰😍

This crew of girls in the Kootenay Freewheelers DH program are incredible riders, awesome spirits, and all around sweet little ladies.

I don't know all the parents of the shredders, please tag if you do.
