Things made well, are made from a set of processes done well, with good planning and good quality materials.

This extraordinary piece of timber is a naturally dried, rare and sought after piece of Black Heart Sassafras from Tasmania. Very rare at this size and expensive. Not only in dollar value but also expensive in the time it takes to plan, mill, coat, fit and set aesthetically. Expensive in not doing correctly.

The custom made “Live Bronze” handle, balanced against the black heart will continue to change as the seasons move through.

Grey acid etched glass with side louvres to match, make the interior space glow as harsh light is pulled into the material and softly dispersed.

All parts, carefully chosen and carefully undertaken, equate to a lasting impact of quality and pleasure of function.

In my trade of nearly 40 years, every so often, I have some very special clients who put their entire faith in me.
I have had the pleasure of that experience throughout my career for which I am humbled and grateful. I have met many talented people along the way whom have inspired and instilled the values of the highest quality workmanship, respect for each other and the duality of trade and art. My thanks goes out to @australianguitartimbers on this project for help and guidance with a valuable and rare timber and of course my wonderful and patient client Liezel Pret.
