Great week, very happy to fit 6 training sessions in. 1 long run, 1 track session and 2 easy runs, mixed with 2 strength and conditioning sessions 💪💪

Well done to everyone at the @yorkshiremarathon. Wish I could of got there, had two great experiences on running that one

Roll on to next week, hopefully more of the same, a couple more speed sessions needed to get me ready for Sunderland 10k and Darlington Half Marathon @runthroughnortheast

2 weeks off running with a sore back… but today I’m BACK 🏃‍♂️💪🔥

It’s frustrating being sidelined when all you want to do is get out and run. Sometimes your body forces you to slow down, recover and remember that progress isn’t always about pushing harder.

6.09km done. 5:21/km pace. 🧡

Not chasing PBs today, just grateful to be back out there putting one foot in front of the other. The road to progress isn’t always smooth, but the comeback is part of the journey.

One run at a time. No rush. No excuses. Just rebuilding. 👊

18k was on my plan for Saturday, I decided to blow that out and run 8k with @emma_loves_to_run instead.
I'm feeling good and didn't think i needed an 18k run.
I know i could of ran it but im concentrating on my speed and didn't want to add any unnecessary fatigue ahead of my Wednesday intervals and being so close now to my 10k race/time trial.

Another Medal Monday in the bag 🏅

An icy, challenging day in Amsterdam but got it done nonetheless and managed to shave off nearly 10mins off my previous HM time 🤩

🇳🇱✨ AMSTERDAM MARATHON — 2:34:50! 🏃‍♂️

Another marathon in the books and honestly, my strongest marathon to date! 🥹🏅

Felt absolutely flying for the first 13 miles, then the headwind arrived and made things interesting! 💨 Still ticking along nicely until mile 18, when my hamstrings decided they'd had enough and started cramping… first the left, then the right! 😂🤦‍♂️

PB by 1 minute, 50 seconds, Finished 215th out of 33,500 runners and 199th male! 🤯🔥 Pretty happy with that!

Sub-2:30 wasn't quite meant to be today, but I came away knowing I'd given it a proper go and produced my strongest marathon performance yet. 💪

A massive thank you to Dannii ❤️ for putting up with me throughout this block, supporting me through all the ups and downs and being there every step of the way. I know marathon training isn't always easy for the people around you either, and I'm so lucky to have you in my corner. Couldn't do it without you! 🥹🫶❤️

Thank you to all my friends who came out to support me and cheer me on around the course. Seeing familiar faces and hearing you shout gave me such a boost, especially when things got tough! ❤️📣

Marathons certainly keep you humble, but days like this remind me why I love the sport. 🏅

Completing as many loops as you can in 12 hours. One loop is 4.8km with 310m of elevation. In the Chartreuse mountains, it was a cold and wet morning with the sun coming out for a little bit in the afternoon, before finishing the 12th hour in the dark.
It was a super cool event and very happy with how it went overall! Awesome preparation for Dezemba🇿🇦
