Thank you JESUS, and thank you to the @unewhaven. As I turn 22 today, I can truly say I am far from the boy who first walked onto this campus.

Somehow, the place where I truly began living out my faith was at the University of New Haven. Funny enough, after going to Catholic school from Pre-K all the way through senior year, it was here that my relationship with Christ became real and active in my everyday life.

I leave here knowing I gave glory to God in more ways than I can count. From Bible studies to conversations to moments only God could orchestrate, I’ve seen Him completely transform my life. Not just outwardly, but inwardly too. My mindset, my reputation, my image, my purpose all changed through Christ.

St. Paul said:
“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21

That verse means everything to me now. I will live for Christ for the rest of my life, and when my time on earth is done, I believe through faith in Him comes everlasting life. That truth changes the way I move, think, love, and live every single day. That will lead to gain when I leave this earth.

It’s Volunteer Appreciation Week! 💙💚

Meet Debbie, a volunteer from @verticalchurchct serving her New Haven neighbors at a monthly pop-up pantry at Atwater Senior Center. Debbie's service is in honor of her mother, who was a faithful volunteer and visitor to the center:

"When she started coming here, she was in her 80s. My mother loved it. She came faithfully Monday through Friday, and she became a volunteer passing out the lunches. It brightened her life so much. She’s been gone for 15 years now."

Join us in thanking Debbie, and her mom, for being committed multi-generational volunteers. Our community thrives because of them!

One year. 182+ beds delivered.
Over 728 lives directly impacted.
Over 5,000 lives touched along the way.

One year of showing up.
One year of believing.
One year of restoring dignity, one bed at a time.

When we started CT BEDS, we were told this wouldn’t work.
That it was too much.
That it had already been done.
That it wasn’t sustainable.

But we didn’t see it that way.
And we’re so thankful we never did.

Because today, one year in — this is no longer an idea.
This is real.
This is impact.
This is a movement.

And the truth is… none of this happens without YOU.

Not a single bed.
Not a single smile.
Not a single moment.

This was built by people — right here in Connecticut — who chose to care.

There are too many of you to name. Truly.
And if we don’t say your name here, please hear this clearly:

You are seen.
You are appreciated.
You are part of this story.

But we would be wrong not to acknowledge a few who have stood with us:

New Haven Reads
Linens of Love
Deacon Dean
Vertical Church
Jackie Ford
Channel 12
Amy Rivera
USA LOFT BEDS
Town Fair Tire
Bobbi Jo

And most importantly — GOD.

And to Connecticut as a whole…

Thank you.

Thank you to every person who shared a post, liked a photo, told a friend, spoke our name in rooms we weren’t in, and believed in something bigger than themselves.

The love we’ve received… we never expected it.
But we feel it. Every single day.

We set out to do something different.
To fill a gap no one else was filling.
To take on bedlessness head-on.

And one year later…

We’re just getting started.

Restoring dignity, one bed at a time.

Easter 2026 🌷

Holy Week looked a whole lot different this year than any year past in the best way possible 🫶🏼

I felt God working in me this week especially, really feeling the push out of my comfort zone because it was exactly what I had prayed for and it all started with Jeremiah 30:17. It was a week I will never forget because it led to my salvation and one day I will share that story.

But today I wanted to praise God for who He is, what he did for us and continues to do every moment through all the highs and all the lows.

Walking with Him is such a beautiful transformation that not only can be seen but truly felt 🌱
