Title: Chonda (on VertTV app)

The show stars the famous Southern stand-up comedian Chonda Pierce (often dubbed "The Queen of Clean") playing a fictionalized version of herself.

• The Setup:
After the passing of her husband, Chonda decides to pack up her life in Tennessee and move to Los Angeles with her two sons.

• The Dream:
Her ultimate goal is to finally chase her lifelong dream of becoming a stand-up comedian.

• The Reality:
Things don't go exactly according to plan. She faces a hilarious culture shock, disastrous job interviews, demanding 9-to-5 bosses, and takes a clumsy waitressing job at a comedy club just to secure open mic slots and make ends meet.

🎬 Chonda (2026) Some dreams are big enough to make a person leave everything familiar behind.

Meet Chonda Pierce, a comedian who heads to Los Angeles with her two sons after a painful loss in her family. Her home, her routine, and her comfort zone stay behind, all for one real shot at a comedy career. No safety net. No backup plan.

LA does not go easy on her. Traffic jams. Total strangers. One surprise after another. Her answer every time is a joke. Regan Burns, the dad from Dog with a Blog, shows up to join the ride.

It was never really about the city lights or the fame. It's about a fresh start and finding your own voice again when life shifts everything.

The series reportedly premiered October 13 on the vertTV app, giving Chonda's warm, relatable humor a new vertical home.
