DIRTY PARTS OF HEAVEN — OUT 16TH OCTOBER ♱

𝙥𝙧𝙚-𝙨𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙬 (IN OUR BIO)

dirty parts of heaven began with meeting my friend josh for the first time, we bonded over guiness and nights that felt like they changed everything but when you woke up nothing had changed .

i re-read some poetry i had written in connection with a certain bar , mine and my closest friends ‘local’ we always would end up at no matter the type of night . i wrote about the amount of conversations i had with strangers , friends-of-friends about our dreams , the way the world would be a better place if it was just us away from a system that had been placed on us since we were born .

the nights of regrets - but a night full of dreams and aspirations of a better world and successes that feel unobtainable . the conversations about art , collaboration , and love , all while drinking margaritas , and crutching at our last pay cheque for another drink so we can carry on talking . but when i woke up , despite these dreams feeling painted on the wall , my heart would sink - i would hold myself to get through anxiety of wasted nights chatting about dreams that felt untouchable .

i re-worked these pieces into a song with josh , then made it into an anthem with liv and amy - a song about the ache of hope under the influence , and dreams i hoped one day to touch .

dirty parts of heaven is out 16th of october ♱

REST IN PEACE THE BAR THAT INSPIRED THIS SONG #CRAZYPEDROSLIVERPOOL - but the new bar that resides in the same walls , we had to leave a mark (DID U SEE OUR GRAFFITI?)
