🥈 Swiss Half Marathon Championships

No specific half marathon training going into this one, with my full focus on the NK 3000m the week before. Definitely felt it, already struggling at 5k and the lack of longer training hit hard from 15k onwards 😵‍💫

Seeing Alex at the U-turns was the motivation we both needed 🤣. Still amazed by the time, as I honestly thought there was no way I’d run 70min. Another PR, even if only by a little over a second!

Big thanks to @michael.zarantonello for all the support and guidance, and congrats to him on his strong result too! 👏

Now it’s time for a well-deserved season break 🫡

Already posted a reel from the NK U20, but I found these photos and had to share them too 📸🥈

2nd place in the 3000m after a really fast race, finishing just 0.8s behind first.

Big thanks to the photographers for capturing these moments! 🙌📷

🇳🇱🥈 2nd at the Dutch Championships U20 3000m!

What a way to finish. With 200m to go, I was in 4th, managed to overtake two athletes, and almost caught the leader, finishing just 0.8s behind gold.

After taking 3rd at the Swiss Championships, coming away with 2nd at the NK feels incredible.

But this medal wasn’t won alone. ❤️

Grateful to be part of the growing @vesta.legacy family and to have their support towards reaching my furthest potential.

A massive thank you to @mpmhengelo and everyone from the club, especially @platenkampmartin , @youri.hoolt , and all the others who supported me and stayed till 21:45💀

To my mom, for coming along for the entire trip, my dad @floris_de_jong_1 , for planning everything, and my trainer @michael.zarantonello , for getting me ready for these moments.

Couldn’t have done it without you. ❤️

More to come. 🇳🇱🥈

#studentathelete #atletiek #hardlopen #university

The 31st of may I competed in the senior competition. I competed in the 400m, 4x100 and HJ. I’m quite happy of my times although I’m in my final moments of my recovery from my injury. On the 400m I ran 52.04! Almost back in the 51s. The 4x100 a stunning time of 44.57sec and on HJ I wasn’t very happy, because of my ankle. B#ut I still jumped 1.75m
