Don’t wait until the patient is on the table to get prepared.

Complex procedures like central line placements require more than just knowing the steps.

You need the right equipment.
You need to know your role.
You need a team that communicates.
And you need to be READY.

In this clip, Kristin talks about why preparation for serious procedures is so important and how being prepared can make a huge difference when things get complicated.

NEW ER PEARL | Lidocaine CRI Math
Your veterinarian orders a lidocaine loading dose followed by a CRI for a canine patient with a ventricular dysrhythmia.
Now comes the technician side: turning that order into an accurately prepared and programmed CRI.
Kristin Lake of VetMedMath STATMath walks through the calculation—from the loading dose to the total drug volume and final pump rate.
This is where veterinary math meets critical-care nursing. 🧮💉
⚠️ Educational content only. Medication selection, dosing, treatment of dysrhythmias, monitoring and adjustments should follow the attending veterinarian's orders and hospital protocols.

Hey VTNE Test Takers!

Did you know that VTNE Medical Math on YouTube, VetTechPrep, CleverOrca, and ALL others have NO order, NO structure, and NO curriculum.

@vetmedmath has one teacher, and every topic in one place, Google Drive, with Step-by-Step Sheets for every single type of problem.

I HAVE order, I HAVE structure, and I HAVE a curriculum.

And now we have an option for those of you that are short on study time! The VetMedMath VTNE Crash Course!

Certain problem types that you are most likely to encounter on the exam, are cherry picked from the VTNE Medical Math Masterclass curriculum, and you still learn math cumulatively, IN ORDER, so you can build upon your existing foundation!
