I have some amazing news that I'm oh sooo excited about! I bought my first medium format camera. I decided to go with the Pentax 645n. There were a few deciding factors for me. Cost. It's much cheaper than the Contax645 and not too many differences. A few but not enough to change my mind since it's my first. The camera is the tool but good lenses are what's really going to set your images apart. My Pentax 645 is coming with the 75 2.8. I'm going to be ordering the 105 2.4 as well. After I looked at comparisons of the 105 vs the Zeiss 80mm I think the 105 has a similar look. They have their slight differences but I think it will hold me over until I can save for the Zeiss. Continuing on my film journey has been fun. I'm learning A lot which is always wonderful. I got more scans back and after seeing which ones turned out and which ones did not from proper exposure it only reenforces the fact that you really do need to use a handheld light meter. At least with my experience as of late. There are many more that turn out when you use a handheld light meter vs the in camera light meter. I really look forward to getting that camera and doing some comparisons with it!
