There is a GAP between your current abilities (& potential) and the results you want to get. Training is what closes the gap.

Knowing exercises takes you nowhere if you don’t understand how to force the body to adapt & change shape, and how to drive sustainable change into the system.

Flashy exercises: fun 👍🏼 I believe having fun has the biggest value, but there is only so much 🦆ing around you can do when you are chasing a specific outcome.

So: exercises are tools to drive adaptations 😃 You changing how you train every week because you are as lost as an octopus 🐙 in a garage 🔧: big waste of time & resources 🤨

You're not a hero for doing the basics.

Taking care of yourself so you can be present, active, and strong for your family isn't an extra. It's the number one requirement of being a father. Period.

Society has sold us the idea that becoming a father means letting yourself go. That's a lie.

Your first duty is to be strong: physically, mentally, and spiritually. Your family depends on you. Being fit isn't vanity. It's a responsibility. Do your job.

Don't seek external validation for fulfilling your obligations. Being strong and fit is what's expected of a man with responsibilities.

Don't feel special. Feel capable.

Pride comes from fulfilling your duty, not from receiving recognition.

QUEREMOS MÁS. 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼💳

Free pain full* range of motion is how we know tissues are healthy & being able to access them is a great indicator of good movement quality.

And then adding weight can work as a great external constraint to achieve certain ranges & to build up the coordination necessary to get into them as we move.

I recorded these clips back on June and then I completely forgot about them 🤣 They came back to my mind bc I programmed the row for one of my clients, and I had fun supersetting it with a kickstance RDL with DB (first rdl, then rowing). My client hasn’t been training for that long, so I saw an opportunity to combine opposite motions: hip flexion with a fixed(ish) t-spine then moving into a hip fixed into t-spine flexion. Thought it was a fun combo 😃 (she mostly liked the stretch on the bending cable row 🤣)

aNYWAYS 😃 hope you guys have a great weekend 🫂🫂🫂

*Full range of motion would be a degree of movement that allows you to go on with your daily life… certain stuff you’ll see on the internet is def not necessary 🫪
