For the dining room in our Hamptons project, I wanted the table to feel equally sculptural and organic, while creating an intimate setting for gathering. @francescoperiniofficial use of solid wood and precise cuts of marble introduce movement and unexpected tension into the material. The challenge was to create a table that could comfortably accommodate fourteen people while still feeling intimate and conducive to conversation. I worked with @gallery_fumi who helped bring my vision to life.

Monday blues…
There is just something about a lamp by @christopherspitzmillerinc that can’t be explained. It needs to be experienced… We call it ‘jewelry for the room’ - a very special touch… and used a marbled model in a Showhouse ….

TBT - with the @brooklynshowhouse opening tomorrow - congratulations to all participants - we couldn’t help remembering our second one from 2019 - the Dining Room at 13 Pineapple Street… back then we lived around the corner and this room will always remember etched in our memories… swipe to see the initial watercolor sketch… as with every single project, we enlisted our ‘circle of friends’ as we call it, to make it all happen. And it does take a village.
Thank you to the artists, artisans, workrooms, galleries, shops, vendors and installers for always being there and making us shine!

FF - Friday Feature…
Our 2019 @brooklynshowhouse Dining Room as featured in @nycandg that same year… The Showhouse was a truly wonderful experience. We partnered with @incollect and then assembled members from what we call our ‘circle of friends’ - and everybody went to work and the result looked like it was never any different…. We fantasized about the sea captain who supposedly lived at the house at one point… and then his family adding items to the room over time…. Sentiment, soul, emotion - the very ingredients we use in our daily operations at the studio when left to our own devices. @ptouch1 dug out an archival museum pattern from the @tilletttextiles body of work, it was printed on fabric in custom colors and paperbacked - to wonderful and magic effect…. @mark_gagnon made papier-mâché curtains based on antique carved wooden hearse ones we had seen at auction. @artgroovestudio painted a circular sisal rug with sardines after our design. We filled the original built-ins with @christopherspitzmillerinc blue and white marbled ceramic marvels and asked for an artichoke tureen which was fresh put of the kiln when Chris personally delivered it together with some luster column candlestick holders…@hearthcabinet made it possible to actually have a fire in the defunct fireplace… we filled the room with antiques and modern furniture and @gustthepoodle swiftly painted four clip on shades for the crystal lamps… the room is long gone, the house changed hands but we know the sea captain’s soul is still there… so are our memories and the wonderful photos by @mentistudio …

Easy like Sunday morning…
For some reason we had to think of the paper mache ‘curtains’ @mark_gagnon made for us for our @brooklynshowhouse Dining Room in 2019…. They were modeled after 19th century hearse curtains we had seen at an auction…

On the cover: At the 2026 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach, Deborah Wecselman’s “A Designer’s Retrospective” drew upon touchstones to her past, her travels and her ever-evolving journey of refined collecting. The ceiling shimmers with a spectacular light sculpture of iridescent hand-blown Murano glass discs by Jamie Harris, and Pia Maria Raeder’s otherworldly “Sea Anemone” floor lamp captures the ocean’s beauty. Above the sofa, a 1977 Olga de Amaral textile pays homage to the Peruvian-born designer’s South American heritage, while a quintet of antique mirrored bass panels is reminiscent of her 1980s New York apartment.
