THE FINAL SIGHTING

The creatures have left the building and Creature Feature has officially come to an end.

What a way to close it. Our first evening art market was a success with amazing artwork from the artists, we launched the first ReBuild merch, and the evening saw the gallery and garden filled with good food, good tunes, dancing and conversation. 🕺👾

Thanks to everyone who visited the exhibition, came back for the closing party, bought artwork or merch, shared our posts, brought friends and helped us spread the word. Every bit of support helps independent artists - and helps us keep ReBuild alive so we can continue creating ambitious, accessible art experiences in North West London.

A huge thank you to the DAIWUN artists for trusting us with your work and allowing us to bring all of your strange inhabitants together under one roof. Thank you to everyone who helped paint, build, install and transform the space; to Mideya Catering for feeding us; to our DJs for carrying us into the night; and to Jaz for capturing this final look at the world we created.

Creature Feature showed us what can happen when artists bring their ideas, energy and worlds together - and when a community turns up to support them.

The exhibition may be over, but this is only the beginning for ReBuild.

Thank you for entering our strange little world.

Until the next sighting…

$You saw the finished world… Here’s a little behind the scenes of what it took to build it… An absolutely huuuge amount of work went into transforming ReBuild for Creature Feature. This video shows only a fraction of the hours spent painting, building, hanging, making, moving, problem-solving and occasionally losing our minds to bring this strange world to life. None of us were paid to make this show. Everyone gave their time, energy and creativity because we wanted to make something amazing together - and bring some of the magic of art and collaboration to Barnet + North West London. A special shout-out to @vhs.sticks who put their red-monstered heart and soul into this project and turned the space into the weird and wonderful world it has become. Thank you to all the DAIWUN artists, and every person who painted, built, lifted, installed, scraped, documented or supported us along the way. We’re incredibly proud to showcase your amazing work which brings this show to life, and to see all these creatures finally sharing one world. Saturday 10 October is your last chance to experience it. We’re opening at 5pm for a quieter exhibition viewing and evening art market. Come and meet the artists, discover newly added work and buy original art, prints and exclusive merchandise directly from the people who made it. We’ll also be launching our first handmade, limited-edition ReBuild merch, including customised tees. Buying artwork supports the artists; buying ReBuild merch helps us keep the space going and create more ambitious projects like this one. Mideya Catering will be serving Caribbean food from 5pm, before the DJs take over and we close the exhibition properly as the night continues. We do this because we love art, we believe in its power to bring people together, and we want to create a space where everybody can feel welcome to create and connect with others. If you’ve already visited, plz tell us your favourite creature or room below. If you haven’t, we hope to see you on Saturday. 📅 Saturday 10 October, from 5pm 📍 ReBuild Artspace, Unit 9, Bunns Lane Works, Mill Hill NW7 2AJ 🎟 Free entry - ticket link in bio Peace n luv$
