You don’t need to get on the ground or find a quiet corner of the range for a good golf warmup. These can all be done standing, right beside your golf bag, and take about 10 minutes.

• T spine rotations: Get the upper back moving and ready to rotate through the swing.

• Lunge + T spine rotation: Gets the hips loading and the upper body rotating, just like you need in the golf swing.

• Hip circles: Move the hips through their full range and get them feeling ready to rotate.

• Elbow flexion + extension: Simply gets the elbow joints moving and feeling more mobile.

• Wrist circles: Gets the wrists moving and ready for the impact of hitting into the ground.

Then start with some light swings and gradually build into your full swings.

Simple, quick, and easy to do right on the range.

This video does not do justice to how far above my feet this ball actually was. 😂 Also kind of glad it was a par 5.

But here’s what works for me:
• Choke down on the club
• Stand a little more upright
• Move the ball slightly back in my stance
• Make a controlled punch shot (you know I love punches to control my face)

The ball is naturally going to want to follow the slope, so I’m just trying to control how much it turns left.

Not a rule, just what helps me control the shot when the ball is way above my feet.
