Today we kicked off our Cosmetology training with our class 66 VYC Cadets! 💇🏾‍♀️✨🥳

This session focuses on Natural Hair Care & Braiding, and today’s fundamentals were all about:

1. Clean, precise parting
2. Strong braid foundations
3. Proper braid endings
4. Technique, tension & neatness

Before the creativity comes the discipline. Before the styles comes the structure.

These young ladies are learning skill, patience, presentation, and pride in their work and we love watching their confidence grow in real time.

Visionary Youth Collective is about quality training, exposure, education, expression, opportunity + loads of fun!

And we’re just getting started. Stay tuned for more!

Behind the scenes✨

VYC Cadets in our Beauty and Barbering Program had the opportunity to visit a local beauty school, @bennettcareerinstitute , and gain valuable, hands-on experience. From exploring the learning environment to engaging with industry professionals, this experience gave cadets a closer look at potential career pathways and the skills needed for success.💈⭐

#HALFBAKED
We’re a little more than half way through baking our
🧁cupcake🧁 and I can assure you this one is extra sweet!🥰

Pregnancy is a beautiful contradiction of feeling fiercely strong and tenderly vulnerable all at once. I’ve experienced the full spectrum of emotions (and symptoms)this *last* time around. Most importantly, though, I’m grateful to have been chosen. Here’s to the strength in motherhood.
