6.) Am Donauufer läuft man dann wirklich free-solo.

Fast laps, tight corners, large crowds and 36 degrees - this week's back to back crits had it all. 🔥

On Tuesday, the old town of Graz once again turned into it's unique racing atmosphere - the crowds lining the course made every lap unforgettable. Thank you to everyone who came out and cheered us on at the @altstadtkriterium_graz !🎉

From the very first lap the pace was high and the attacks kept following one after the other. Throughout the race we stayed well positioned at the front. Diggin deep, Kira made it into the decisive leading group and finished off with a fantastic 4th place. Melanie fought all the way to the line, while Anja was unfortunatley caught up in a crash.

On Wednesday we were back in action at the city center of Wels Racing the @innenstadtkriterium . Again, the spectators created an incredible atmosphere to race in. 💫
Seven bonus sprints never let the pace down, reducing the field lap by lap. After being involved in a crash, Melanie und Anja impressivley fought their way back. In the final sprint @anja_vogl took a strong 7th place, followed by @melaniebrunhofer (10), @kira.hrlm (12) and @jenn_yifer_ (24).

A huge thank you to @felix_loves_bikes who once again managed our support at it's best!

Geht. Ist es also eher eine Tour? Kann sein. Ein Rennen? Ja.

Gefahren wird onsight, also ohne Streckenkenntnis.

Race Recap: Wachau 2026 - 53 km

After two years of abstinence, the old circuit was usable again, after a rockslide two years ago made the track unusable.

I made the clear decision to ride this kind of „short“ distance again, after 2024s debut on the Power-Marathon 100km. Getting, at least, in the Top 10 was a clear goal I set myself.

Preperations went well and I felt great right away from the start.

The Pace was set very high, but I was able to get myself into the leading group very fast and stayed there at all costs!

After breaking away in a Group of 5 near the top of the climbs, I lost the best 3 after watching the 4th crashing on the descend right in front of me.

Unfortunately wasn‘t able to catch up the leaders and had to solo through the nasty headwinds back into the Danube Valley.

Got cought by 4 others around 15 km from the finishline and circled with the group until the last Kilometer of the race.

After turning in first into the Finishing-circuit we got slowed down by a Delivery-Van (thx for nothing Circuit Guards!) and had to regain my momentum within the last 500m.

Went very fast through the tight corners but hadn‘t the legs to push myself beyond the finish line on the last straight and lost one place to the guy who crashed before.

Finished as 5th in the Overall-Ranking and 4th in my Age-Group (AKM - Main).

My very best results in a bike race, second time again!

It was a blast racing this course and I am keen to aim for the Podium for the next time!

Many thanks to my suppprters Mike from @cpp_bikes and Ken from @no6works for providing me with exceptional equipment (unpaid advertisement)!
