September was a GOOD month for the GF baddies!! We were EATINGGG. Here’s everything we tried, loved, and would go back for. Gluten-free and still here for a good time.

GF disclaimer: I can tolerate cross-contamination, so always double-check with the restaurant if you have celiac disease or are highly sensitive!

@pelatocharleston has my first ever GF shell noodles and they were amazing! Made in house and with the same sauce, I’ll be back

@owlbearcafe has some decent GF options by having GF bread. I love their coffees and matchas! Luckily their bread isn’t too small. They have plenty of GF breakfast options

@theobstinatedaughter knows what’s up. Although they have my least favorite gf pasta shape, the sauce makes up for it! I always order extra sauce on the side since gf pasta gets a little dry sometimes. They’re good at explaining the other gf options too but I can’t miss this pasta

@hallschophouse will always make sure you feel taken care of. Their brunch is one of a kind - insane service and the servers are so helpful on directing you towards what’s safe! They have gf bread service. This place will always be a 5/5 for me.

@viciousbiscuits - the taste is phenomenal and their biscuits hardly taste gluten free!!!

Big disclaimer though, I ordered GF my first time and was given fried chicken on the gf biscuit.. tasted great but full of gluten 🫠 make sure the person taking your order knows what they’re doing! I knocked a point off for that, but the flavor is seriously so delicious

@sixmileeats - Found my new favorite sandwich omg. HOWEVER - they changed their bread from my first to my second visit and I was deeply disappointed. The second visit had mini bread with the same upcharge. If you’re reading this, GO BACK TO THE B FREE BREAD! Sincerely, your gf bestie

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. @kulturacharleston is the move. They have so many options and everything is clearly outlined on their menu. Talk about making things easy!!!

I hate to say @millersallday was a huge disappointment for me. Not a lot of great gf options for lunch and sheesh everything was an up ch

If breakfast involves a biscuit this big, you know you’re starting the day right.

@viciousbiscuits in Nexton takes the classic Southern biscuit and goes all in. Think fried chicken, pimento cheese, sausage gravy, eggs, hot honey, and plenty of combinations that require showing up hungry.

Whether you’re grabbing brunch with friends or fueling up before a day exploring Nexton and Santee Cooper Country, this is an easy one to add to the list.

So the real question is, what are you putting on your biscuit?
